After reading the article about endymion on livingmoon. - http://www.thelivingmoon.com/47john_lear/02files/Endymion_Command_Post.html

I searched the internets for other images of endymion to see if you could see anything in them. I came across this image: (ive lost the link, ill add it if i find the website again."

You can see the tower from johns image. But the biggest thing that jupms out straight away was the Bridge/Crane on the left rim of the crater.
I can clearly see the long arm, with a big support strut and a big long shadow running underneath.

Therers lots of other nice things there too. I have another image where i have tried to colour in most of the artifacts (Poorly aha) but ill wait to see what others think of this image first. :D

Anyone spot the goodies? :P

If not heres my attempt at colouring some of the main areas of interest.

Lots of stuff dotted around.

Next ill try go in closer to show individual areas and what i believe them to be.

My monitor (old flatscreen TV) is filled with red snow, and even highlighted and enlarged...  It all looks like so much vague moonish stuff.  I wish I had a better monitor.

I don't see anything special, but I am one of those people that only see rocks. The image is not that good either, as it looks shaken, or something like that.

As for the source, it looks like it may have come from someone called Edward Sampson, but his site is not working.  :(

Hey, Vandalis!
After checking out the photo on my 58inch plasma, I do see some lines that look a little too straight to be normal features, but Im not able to zoom in to it worth a darn...is there a original image you can find, or a way to define it better? There is a number of spots on it that look suspicious, but until I can zoom without distortion I dont want to say either way for sure!
Could be some interesting things there, and I wonder if NASA has an original on their archive site?
Cheers!

I cant track down the site i got the image from so i cant get the detials on it. I do know its from a telescop though. I tried to find a none nasa image. That way there was a higher chance of finding anomalies. There really isnt alot of good images of Endymion.

Yeah this image isnt the best for zooming i admit. But You can still clearly make out the the 2 biggest features. The observation post/Tower and the big bridge/crane that leads to a diamond shaped building. And of course the fact the crater is pentagon shaped. Theres a nice bright number 5 thingy there too lol.

You can still see few hangers, roads etc. Its mostly the north east side of the crater that needs more detail. In johns article he points out  a mystery object on the north east right side. In that pic u can see it better.

Heres some more images.

Not the best image but in this one u can see that object looks like a sphere with a ring around it.

In this one you can see the huge hanger. You can see the huge arch

Next to that is that wedge shaped mountain that just stops. Ends in a straight down drop. Like a ramp or somthing lol

Although these images show more detail from the north side, the south side in these ones is lacking in detail.

Took a new look Vandalis, and what jumps out at me is how the edges of the crater look like theyve been worked, or altered in some way. And the little impact marks in the crater may be from incoming objects, but where is the ejecta in a crater full of feathery dust? Hmmmm, maybe a bit of beneficiation at play?

Do you think the area is possibly an undeground mine, which is covered by a huge lid?

Ill keep coming back for fresh looks throughout the day!

Cheers!

This photo looks like its from a website  see below:

In a freak coincidence. At 6:30 am October 7, 2009, Bill Penn of California was watching the moon through his reflector and saw a city in full view in Endymion. He grabbed a pen and paper and started sketching what he could see.

A week or so later Bill brought the drawings to Las Vegas and we compared them with the moon photos shot by Mike Deegan from the UK.

We then had Allan Sturm of lunomaly.com make transition video between Mike Deegans photo and Bill Penns sketch of what he saw drawn directly on Mike's photo..

We know that most of the near side of the moon is hidden by holographic or other kinds of camouflage measures. Somehow at 5:30 am on October 7 the camouflage became inoperable or was turned off for a  short time giving us a view of what is really up there.

Endymion Crater

Back a few years ago John posted pictures taken by the Lick Observatory and in those two old photos, I clipped the area around Endymion Crater

The picture on the right has very odd looking black lines in the lower right part of the crater, and the upper square shows black out as well. These black lines do not appear in other lower resolution images.

The picture on the right shows the same area. On the full photo you can see the "cloud bank" that is covering the area. Though it does not cover Endymion, there is still '"cloud" showing around the perimeter of the crater... and in the two boxes where the dark areas are in the other clipping, the "cloud" forms columns.

Endymion Crater has long been the focus of anomaly researchers and John Lear was pointing out this area earlier in the thread.

Endymion Crater Lick Observatory 001
Though the area is blacked out, there still appears the trace of a structure just within the crater (see below). And behind the black lines you can see some bright object that has been obscured

Below is the crater in image LO 002. The shape of the clouds and their location corresponds to the black out areas seen above.

Here is the overview of that day when the dust storm covered the area

At the time we had little to go on, but now we know that even NASA acknowledges the dust storms :D

Regarding the straight lines   yes I noticed that as well. Here is another shot from an astronomy site that clearly shows the rectangular floor

http://www.damianpeach.com/lunar.htm

But we have our own picture that Mike Deegan took. Its a little dark in the area we are looking at BUT...

Brightened up...

If you look at the image above there are several really interesting objects that stand out. On the bottom right area that is obscured by cloud in Lick 2 and black marks in Lick 1 you can clearly see the tower and the dish antenna. (See below for details). The upper left of the crater, which is also obscured in the lick photos shows three large round structures. There is another one in the crater just below the three. The coloring of the objects is a brownish tint in contrast to the bluish green tint of the surrounding rock.

Grey scale version...

To the center and above (behind) the crater you can see several interesting bridge and tower like structures. Most peculiar is the crater floor!! Look at the smooth featureless texture and note the two sides that you can see of the floor. The lines above show the part I am referring to. Compare this image to the gray scale gamma adjusted one.

The image above is a clipping from the Clementine full color high res mosaic image showing Endymion crater. Notice the texture of the interior of the crater and the total lack of walls or crater slopes. Zoom in on the edges of the texture and you will see what we mean. There is absolutely no sign of any of the objects shown in the 2005 Mile's Astro Imaging photo. The only thing showing anomaly on this image is the area we labeled walls. -

Do you remember THIS crater... here on Earth?

The volcano from You Only Live Twice

THIS is what was below that false floor :D

That floor of Endymion Crater looks just as phony as that Volcano crater floor in the James Bond film...

All of this is interesting. I only have one question though... born out of sheer ignorance. Are " dust storms" common on the moon? For some reason I haven't associated them there. And is it because the dust is picked up by strong atmospheric winds (????) or is there some sort of " lofting" going on here.

Dad suspected that much of our major deserts also had an element of beneficiated sands that were " lofting also, So.... which is this?  Linda

This one is the best...

A lot of those images were stored at ATS as that is where we started with John's Moon thread. I see I have a lot of repairs to do to links since the ATS media portal hack has lost me a lot of images stored there. Fortunately it was only the early pages

Yes it seems they are indeed common :D but those I will leave to another thread. Don't want to derail from this crater right now. I will do a thread... actually I thought I had but that may have been at OM or the other place :(
