Man, I doubeldogdare any other Forum to match these conversations!!!!!  This is GREAT!!!!!

Sticking my head back in this.... a mild objection...

Mikado.... You said....

"Anyone who is promoting the use of dowsing rods to explain the aether really seems to be attempting to drag their theories into a theory to help explain what it is they believe.

I object to your saying what Hobbit is " seeming to do" You have know real knowledge of what he is doing.... just as he has no real knowledge of what your agenda is....... so lets forget trying to explain what others " seem to be doing..... OK???

And you can never say that this Forum doesn't have its own brand of humor. LOL.   Linda

Indeed, Im laughing now! And I think the aether is flowing from my eye sockets.
Hope it doesnt freeze! :o

Thanks.

We are not a "Political Convention" per 'se. We are a group of individuals with different perceptions and ideals for the food of thought.
I personally believe that this is a self absorbed idea of what the aether truly is, it has thus far only promoted self analogies and contributed too nothing short of nothing, other than "Ice is water that is in a frigid state by freezing and then can be melted again to become liquid water." type of discussion.
The "Mass" of the "Aether" you have so graciously postulated on is described as a free flowing EM/EG/EHD/Magnetic/frequency with no real explanation's. It is all hersay for the rhetoric of the conversation of the topic.
As far as TTB's contribution for your thoughts and perception's "Good for you!" he is an admirable man, but lets not go by the way side of ridicule and cut downs because something is not being understood.
LE is very smart, and I give he credit for his insights, he is a scientist by nature, and with all the back and forth, the really bad example of using Ice as a medium only adds to the confusion, there we are talking "Apples and Oranges" as Mikado has referred too it already.
"Give us something more 'Intellectual' mcp, something that wow's as to the point it can't be argued with. Right now, you have stood on the shoulder's of men and scientists, bare your chest and let her rip,I want to know exactly where you are going with this topic.
So far , only speculation and some very annoying innuendo's, but nothing iron clad too say the least.

Mikado,

You had this to say which I believe deserves its own thread. What should we call it.... because it is bound to develop into something interesting. Odd that Mikado would be the one to point it out.

"Linda, his metaphor fits exactly with your Father's work and the fact that he did this 30 years ago fits with others as you know. For some reason, it appears that it is always 30 years. Almost as if there was this "event" that happened and those that had their "ears" on heard it.

So lets talk about the " event 30 years ago"
Which would have made the wider span of investigation .... the late sixties into the early seventies????

MPC.... since you first mentioned it.... what kind of " event" did it seem to you?

Anyone else?

Linda

ice displaces liquid water.
I have not read the whole thread.  Are we all in agreement that the ether is fluid like, is responsible for many field effects due to the manner it interacts with "matter/energy" and energy/matter displaces the ether like a solid does a fluid?

If so I'm with you... :D

Maxwell's displacement current is a physical displacement of the aether.

Einstein, de Broglie, Newton and Maxwell all describe the state of the aether as determined by its connections with the matter and the state of the aether in neighboring places as the state of displacement of the aether.

I can't help it if you are too self absorbed to understand this.

The aether is, or behaves similar to, a superfluid with properties of a solid.

I like the following description of what the aether is as long as you realize particles of matter are able to move through and displace the 'window glass'.

"Subsequent studies with large particle accelerators have now led us to understand that space is more like a piece of window glass than ideal Newtonian emptiness. It is filled with 'stuff' that is normally transparent but can be made visible by hitting it sufficiently hard to knock out a part. The modern concept of the vacuum of space, confirmed every day by experiment, is a relativistic ether. But we do not call it this because it is taboo." - Robert B. Laughlin, Nobel Laureate in Physics, endowed chair in physics, Stanford University

I think it is premature to discuss a fluid like flow with respect to the state of the aether.

Einstein defined motion as applied to the aether as the aether does not consist of individual particles which can be separately tracked through time. If the aether does not consist of individual particles which can be separately tracked through time then how can we know if the aether physically flows?

At the same time I am stating the Universe we exist in is a larger version of a black hole polar jet. Dark energy is aether emitted into the Universal jet.

Well then, how does aether get emitted into the Universal jet at the same time it doesn't flow? Again, the best I can do at this time is to say the aether emitted into the Universal jet displaces the existing aether in the Universal jet. Where the displacement increases the pressure great enough aether condenses into particles of matter. This is where '1st Stars' are labelled in the following image which is analogous to the Universal jet we exist in.

http://aether.lbl.gov/image_all.html

When I first looked at animations of Jupiter's moon where the outer moons orbit opposite of the inner moons it looked analogous to me of a hurricane where the outer most arms of a hurricane 'fall off' and go int the opposite direction of the rest of the bands of the hurricane.

However, after some time I just don't think we should discuss aether as a fluid which flows.

It is correct to discuss the state of aether as the state of displacement of the aether.

I think that is where the focus should be, at least for now, because it is supported by ALL of the experimental evidence.

I figured out aether displacement through intuition.

Superfluid eh?  That's very interesting.

I need to look at this properly.  What is a black hole polar jet?  What is current thought on it.  I think if there is a singularity present, there might not be one at black holes....

Thank You for Your explanation.  Another question...

What do You see as explaining the Biefeld-Brown Effect?  Or do You deny it exists?
"If the universe is made of mostly Dark Energy...can We use it to run Our cars?"

"If You want peace, take the profit out of war."

For the record, I still think the ether behaves like a fluid (in relation to matter) and the solution to any of novel propulsion, warp drive or "antigravity/overgravity" will probably lie in assuming it is.....

However, I am open to change my mind if I see a reason why this isn't the case.  The ether behaves like a fluid from an engineering perspective so why not treat it as one?

Superfluid eh?  That's very interesting.

I need to look at this properly.

'Superfluid Is Shown To Have Property Of A Solid'
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/1999/07/990730072958.htm

"Northwestern University physicists have for the first time shown that superfluid helium-3 -- the lighter isotope of helium, which is a liquid that has lost all internal friction, allowing it to flow without resistance and ooze through tiny spaces that normal liquids cannot penetrate -- actually behaves like a solid in its ability to conduct sound waves."

The window glass in the following is analogous to a superfluid with properties of a solid; a supersolid.
