From time to time, we come
accross videos of the Aurora Borealis
that are amazing to watch.

Thought I would start a collecting place for the videos here,
and add photos also if you like!

Starting with one amazing video, accompanying easy
listening soundtract very nice also. 

A series of timelapse sequences showing the fantastic Northern Lights often experienced in this part of the world. All footage was taken in January 2012 in the Kvæfjord and Harstad areas of Northern Norway.

Timelapse footage of a spectacular display of the aurora borealis, or northern lights, over Lapland in northern Sweden. These fantastic stereographic projected panoramas were taken by Babak Tafreshi and made during a rare aurora storm that appeared in the high-latitude skies in March 2012

Sky, me too! I did manage once to see the Aurora Borealis,
very out of place in Northern California. Even then it was
amazing!

I spent a week capturing one of the biggest aurora borealis shows in recent years.

Shot in and around Kirkenes and Pas National Park bordering Russia, at 70 degree north and 30 degrees east. Temperatures around -25 Celsius. Good fun.

Northern Lights, Galena , Alaska

Northern Lights with Dog Team and tent, Alaska by Chris McLennan. Aurora Borealis. This image was taken of my Intergral Designs tent with Jon's resting dog team near Galena, Alaska. This was put together from a series of 50 still images taken on my Canon EOS1D m4 with 14mm lens and the Hahnel Giga T Pro II interval timer remote. The resulting images were merged to give the feel of how it was on the night!
