Scientists Discover Portals and A Parallel Universe ?

Ok,I'm nervous about this so here it goes....

A favorite theme of science fiction is "the portal" -- an extraordinary opening in space or time that connects travelers to distant realms.  A good portal is a shortcut, a guide, a door into the unknown. If only they actually existed...
It turns out that they do, sort of, and a NASA-funded researcher at the University of Iowa has figured out how to find them.
"We call them X-points or electron diffusion regions," explains plasma physicist Jack Scudder of the University of Iowa.  "They're places where the magnetic field of Earth connects to the magnetic field of the Sun, creating an uninterrupted path leading from our own planet to the sun's atmosphere 93 million miles away."

So,they have discovered some sort of "portals"?

Then we have some sort of evidence to a parallel universe.....

n a paper recently published in European Physical Journal C, researchers hypothesised the existence of mirror particles to explain the anomalous loss of neutrons observed experimentally. The existence of such mirror matter had been suggested in various scientific contexts some time ago, including the search for suitable dark matter candidates.
Theoretical physicists Zurab Berezhiani and Fabrizio Nesti from the University of l'Aquila, Italy, reanalysed the experimental data obtained by the research group of Anatoly Serebrov at the Institut Laue-Langevin, France. It showed that the loss rate of very slow free neutrons appeared to depend on the direction and strength of the magnetic field applied. This anomaly could not be explained by known physics.

Does this mean that main stream science is at least considering what the pseudo-scientists have been claiming for years?

I think many of us who work in the fringe sciences have experienced these effects without even knowing it.

It sounds rather believable, and as to portals opening up, think of what happens when we push two magnets together with repulsion, and then all of a sudden they spin into alignment almost instantly.

What happens in that nanosecond when the magnets pop back into polarity?

Anyone thinking of this place?

Interesting link, for sure, and maybe this is what we are visualizing when Astr0 saw the ghost, a portal opening and exposing itself for a tiny part of our time.

well i think there are many types of portals....and that some folk are sensitive to one or more types
but only a few recognize what they are sensitive too

and here is one of my stories..truth as i know/lived  it

i have come out of the shower heading for bedroom and almsot ran into a guy walking his dog..twice
it was maybe for a half second..we looked each other in the eye and recognized we were seeing each other and then poof..no more connection
i knew he was in modern london from his clothing and that he was walking in the rain

i had just come from the shower which for me is a non thinking space where i get all kinds of incomeing info

the third time i was  at the computer late one night looked up to see him across the room..again in london in the rain and walking his dog
no this isn't the same spot as the two before..they were in the hallway
but as we weren't face to face this last time there was no connection..just my visual

and i wonder
if i was seeing some type of time warp loop
or
if this guy walks his dog in a certain area..
you know the place..the one where that phone booth is located
or
if i was having some fixed state halucination

it's been a while since it's happened and i really don't have any answers..just my knowing that it did happen

I believe that is motor action. Angular momentum until the opposing pole comes around and is captured by the other opposing pole.
