NASA's new Mars picture

The US space agency NASA has recently pieced together a panoramic view from the camera on NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity, calling it the "next best thing to being" on the Red Planet.

Too bad it's false colour, it would have been better in true colour.  :)

ArMaP, thanks for posting! For me, it is pretty funny to see how much publicity this one Rover Opportunity photo has receivedi in the mainstream news. There is absolutely nothing spectacular, or even interesting, about this phoro, relative to the nearly 3,000 other Rover O photos of Mars, from Rover O (plus Rover Spirit). Except maybe for the fact that this Rover O "machine" is still alive, and is still working many years beyond its original life expectancy.

Nothing but rocks here, "as you often say"! :))

But there are in fact many Rover photos that do form a part of the revelation of a significant civilized presence, at some point, on the planet Mars. But this photo is not one of them.  8)

I think that's debatable. :)

Yes, this is just a "nice photo for the album", almost as if they are preparing people to forget about Opportunity, probably to replace it with the new, "all singing, all dancing" rover that is getting closer to Mars.

Would you post some of those photos please.  I'd like to see any showing a civilised presence - especially ones NOT from Cydonia.

Hello Executioner! Nice to meet you! I have made several OP's in this Mars Anomalies forum, which I sincerely believe to show evidence of a civilized presence. They are made on the basis of the Rover and Mars Orbiter photos, and are pimarily definite objects, as presented in the photos.

There are several very different objects in the varioius posts, and include a silver dome, a white winged object in curious surroundings, a reptillian with a small wrist shield, a Martian horse, a fancy design object, a clear #2 in the side of a cliff, along with an Egyptian-looking statue plus another statrue, a "Birdman of Mars" statue, obvious several metal looking round headed studs in rocks, a woven basket, some type of disc shaped objext at the south pole, and etc.

Take a look at some of those and let us know what you see! Will look forward to hearing!a

Yes, but when they talk about colours they call that "true colour".
(How's that as an excuse? ;D)

That green fog was different, as it was only green because it was caught on the photo for the green channel.
