PLAYSWITHMACHINES

(taken from his bio)

John Roy Robert Searl was born in Berkshire, England on may 2 1932.
He was born in a 'workhouse' 6 weeks early and was not expected to live, and was given away for adoption at Dr. Barnado's homes, in the care of the state. Needless to say, he had a very rough & unhappy childhood, which may account for his eccentricity.

He attended Russel Coate's nautical school in Dorset, and an apprenticeship at the British Electric Repair company.

Then it gets a bit vague, he worked at Vickers and other companies, in his own words;

QuoteI have became a pilot and have flown a number of different aircraft, wired the Victor Bombers control
panels for Handley Page, Wired computers to fire for NATO shore guns in Norway, Lecturer on the
S.E.G. and I.G.V. across Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Denmark, Holland, Germany and the
UK. Nursing, Laboratory trainee, chemist assistant, electrical engineers, Electrical and electrician
wireman, Submarine pressure water pipes inspector, Atomic vacuum dust collector's inspector,
Cinema projectionist

He claims to have learned the 'law of the squares' by himself (there is also another story that says he once admitted having got the idea from ET via telepathic contact)I will try to dig it out for you :)

He also claims to have built his first IGV (inverse gravity vehicle) in 1958.

Before diving headlong into his (auto)biography, be warned that some of his text is unsuitable for youngsters.
In this respect, i willtry & describe his good & bad points for you. I have spent 10 years on this one subject alone, so i know him quite well :)
Good points: His knoweledge of engineering, physics etc is extremely good, his theory behind the concept is nothing short of brilliant, but does it work?

Bad points; He is highly eccentric (that's an understatement), arrogant, inflexoble when it comes to working with others.
He has a very big chip on his shoulder from his youth & family, & this amounts to an obsessive disorder.

I will place my own opinion in the 'discussion area' but for now let's look at this without judjement or bias.

His theory 'law of the squares' is an interesting mix of numerology & atomic numbers, his philosophy is unique.

Unfortunately his 'progress reports' are a mix up of old articles, ramblings, medical issues, & now & then something useful :)
It's only 500 pages (!)
So i'm afraid you will have to be patient, i have listed his 'inventions' papers in the 'machine' folder, and the rest of it in the 'theory' folder.

There is a whole lot more info on him, if you want more specifics, let me know.
