OK, add this to your database.  Just saw 3 lights, 5 minutes ago, looked like stars, moving from southeast to northwest, over central Ohio. No strobe, looked like stars, have seen these before but never 3 in a row, the first two were side by side and the 3rd trailed 20 seconds behind the first two.  They look like they are at high altitude and I have looked at satellite orbit info sites before and do not see that anything is supposed to be over this part of the country and I don't think satellites would be that close together in orbit.  A short time later, a plane, with strobes moved from west to east, see planes all the time, they don't look like stars.  I see these one at a time frequently, does anybody else?  Any ideas???
And you may ask yourself
Well...How did I get here?

wow

yep i used to see that a lot.. lately we are clouded over most nights..

..seeing your stated location.. i think i might be in a fairly straight line from you on the east side

sitting on the patio we ususally have a clear view of the nw to west to south part of the sky
and what we see is usually from north to west or southwest

i have never observed three in a row but mostly one after another or two in tandem...also checked the satelites
then we had two stationary satelites - even  have some in pics i shared in one of deuems threads
and they just dissappeared

you have several military bases  there ..do you think one could be a terminal point?

A grid reference and time/date would be good.  Date was July 17th, 2012?

my location would be [redacted]
unknown elevation but looking northwest...

moving objects would be (two hands widths  -thumb to pinky- above the horizon)

satilites were stationary and one hand width above the horizon
exactly nw

moving objects at a higher elevation than stantionary satilites and moving from north to west and sometimes north  to nw and verging south

does that help or hinder?

[redacted coordinates by request - Zorgon]

I just don't have time to follow up right now.

We do have Wright Patterson to the West, but no way of telling if that is where they are heading or where they are  from.  There was no sound.  I would think that even a fighter jet would be heard.  Like I said, I see the single ones frequently, sometime following other points of the compass.  I live in the country away from city lights so the night sky is perfect for viewing.  Some of them get directly overhead and then disappear, almost as if they are heading out to space.  Maybe the secret space fleet???

And you may ask yourself

no sound on the ones i have seen either.. and if we didn't sit out
in the evenings we would never know they were up there

i'm out in the country also with no light polution

Yes, or maybe 3rd gen night vision like Ed Grimsley.

Hey, what do sky otters eat???  Sky fishes???   ;D ;D ;D ;)

Guardian Angel

Except Seagulls

Saw a seagull steal an otters fish once off LA... lying on his back, enjoying a nice snack  and along comes this white vulture, swoops in and snags the fish

Seagulls are mean... :P

As to weird UFO like things..

Saw one a few months back just flew above the house, a large translucent amoeba like thing. I felt in before I saw it, was eerie. Just silently floated over the house.

almost like a ghost... or one of Zorgon's critters   :o

I am so glad to be away from the light pollution.  I spend a lot of time at night on my back deck in one of these from Cabelas:

Saves the neck strain!  What would be nice to have is a telescope that could be controlled remotely, and had fine control, and was connected to a monitor and recorder.

Who is that guy that has taken some pics with a telescope that look like large alien craft???

White vulture!  Ha!  Good description!

Hey, there really are white vultures!!

And you may ask yourself

I just don't have time to follow up right now.

Have you seen Isaac Koi's Free UFO Researcher Starter Pack?

I started on that a while back and was totally overwhelmed with the info.
I finally came to the conclusion that if aliens are truly visiting us from afar, they can have it,just leave me alone. :D

So you or other members can follow up sightings with the background knowledge you need.  If you look at the material that is.

The few real investigators who are on forums like this just can't follow up most of the time or we'd never complete ongoing work.
