Had to rock along with this one.

Thought it was Korn first time I heard it.

;D Erik...... the magic fingers fly across those strings. What an amazing guitarist/musician.  Here's a fun one from the movie Paint Your Wagon.

Here's proof that us dudes can really belt out a beautiful melody.    8)

Yes indeed. I had the pleasure of seeing Eric perform several times. He really seemed to enjoy playing on the Gulf Coast and southern states.

When you mentioned dudes that can really belt out a beautiful melody I immediately thought of Sam Smith -

Absolutely great stuff for the ears!  Sam truly has a great voice.  8)  Speaking of ears, (you may want to turn down the volume if its high lol) here is a comparison of two versions of the Star Spangled Banner................  First Hendrix!

And here's Mahogany Rush with a 1975 version..................I saw them do this 1 at LB Sports Arena in 75.  I think its the same 1.

Hi ArMaP. Hope you're doing okay.   :)
I'm okay. :)

A little tired, after 3 months working 60 hours per week. I'm too old for that. ;D

I understand completely. You're still alive and kicking, which is what counts.  ;)

Yeah Frank played very close to the Hendrix style and is tied for fastest guitarist alive (with John Mcloughlin) but for the star spangled banner contest Jimi still gets the nod of course.

My fav track from Woodstock was Jimi's closer -

Now Frank may have not got the recognition he deserves, but I'll guarantee you that any guitarist worth his salt knows every lick he ever played.

Here's one that shows off his Jazz side -

And my personal fav has always been Strange Universe -

Of all the guitarists playing Jimi's style, Randy Hansen has always come closest -
