Of turning Americans and the world off to space exploration so they can more easily hide what is really up there from us.

Hundreds of £billions to go walk on a trecherus deadly ball of rust. Wouldn't the money be better spent saving our rainforests!
Or if you want real science, then even bigger & better space telescopes & probes.

I see the yanks are seeking attention again. I guess China announcing they are going to the moon prompted this piece of fantasy.

Remind me again, how are the Americans getting people into space currently?

Here we go again. The infantile anoraks at NASA: "pleeeez give us more money to waste on pointless exploration of utterly hostile environments to humans, otherwise we´ll all be out of work..."

Good post, Vril, we need to be kept in the fold as to whats up there and how we can use it.
Mining has probably been going on at some level, but the trillions we spend on bombs and cruise missiles could go a long way towards funding better spacecraft.

We dont have a great enough number of scientists with open minds though, to push for the new methods of space travel, and so we remain in the dark ages with rockets and such...crap! We can do better, and create some jobs in the process, too!

Of course if someone else is up there, as they probably are, we might be better off sticking around down here though...dont want to piss off the EBE's!

Cheers!

agreed, unmanned missions on Mars are Just yet another way to waste Time & money. why not to R&D more efficient solutions to deliver payloads onto LEO??? :)
