Getting ready for something?

I have been living here in Ch1na for a long time now, well over 10 years.

Last night for the first time they had an outdoor town meeting on civil defence.

The topic was how to save people from flooding waters.

Never have I seen such a meeting. Most meetings are just about how to be a good person and obey the rules and laws.

Or school kids dancing or putting on a play.

This one was real!   hum!    What are they telling me?
