Here we go again!. Got my generator, (got to get more gas though), ice and stock up on food. Probably just a lot of rain but hell I'm an old hand at this ::)

sarge. i'm praying that thing takes a sharp left turn, heads out into the gulf and eventually dissipates without making land fall anywhere.

Hey, Sarge, I live near Tampa, and it always seems we are in the first run of the spaghetti model, too.

Of course it always goes around us, but it seems you guys up there are starting to become the newest target these days.

Best luck to you, and get that gas..after Katrina the general public there is very eager to prepare.

one year, a hurricane came in, crossed over the bottom of florida, into the gulf, crossed back over, and went up the middle till about orlando, crossed over almost into the atlantic and then crossed back over again into the gulf then went up into mississippi i think it was.  i was like....what's keeping that thing going!  it was nuts.

Well the damn thing keeps moving west which is not good for me. Right now it looks like Mobil bay area. We'll know more by Tuesday. Either way we're going to get a crap full of rain...gutters here I come...lol

Depending on what year you are talking, back in " 85"  Hurricane  Eleana had a track similar to the one you describe .

yeah that looks right.  it kept going back and forth.   weather report would say, well it's finally offland out in the gulf, and then it would go right back on land again, move this way and that way.  back and forth up and around and .....weirdest storm i've ever seen.
