Where did the Unexplained UFO Data Disappear to on Sceptic Sites?

So, skeptics who think that literally everything is garbage where UFOs are concerned, are wrong.  Most of it, however, still is.

This is one of the things that has interested me about so called "debunkers" and sites where they hang out.

In most SCIENTIFIC studies on UFOs, between 3% and 15% of UFOs are found to be unexplainable.  However, on sceptic sites almost every UFO ever posted has been "debunked" according to these people.

So where is this percentage of unexplainable data disappearing to in their studies?

Sorry Matt, I made a mistake when splitting the old topic.  The answer you gave was:

I believe it is a forced fit. You can put a square peg in a round hole, or a round peg into a square hole, they will enter most of the time, but there is some still left over, and this remainder is simply ignored.

We do it all the time with our scientific theories, then when someone comes along with a better model, one which fits more, we throw out the old one in favor of it. In the course of studies on UFOs there has been no systematic study widely circulated, and, getting down to the crux of the matter, that reason, my friend, wait for it...


The historic event which exists from the time of the High German Criticism created a permanent schism betwixt the study of science and paranormal studies.

Thus, any study of the paranormal is cast into doubt and those who pursue it are ostracised by the scientific community. As a result, you will rarely if ever see any addressing of the unexplained portion.
