Can someone tell me WTF that CHAIR is doing their? Is that the pilot seat? :P
That's probably where Kubrick/Spielberg should be sitting if they want to repeat Apollo.  Apollo II should be a box office smash.  :o

Is it possible to forget how you did something if....

Without getting involved with the radiation belts, does anyone know why they never launched a shuttle to the moon. it could have held a Landing module in the cargo bay. We have a fleet of them no one is using. Strp on some extra gas and go for it.

As far as forgeting something, that happens all the time. Factories get the word to destroy or ship all the blueprints and data. Then they release to people that knew how to do it because of a new project and the history goes away. Most of those people are dead by now and we would have to start all over.

Might be something to do with the development of the Space Shuttle?
Ronny Raygun cut back the funding on the Propulsion System (Probably to funnel into the Star Wars Project) and consequently, the Shuttle could only reach LOW-LEVEL Orbit!
That's why they had to use Booster Rockets on the Satellites!

As for going to the Moon in a Shuttle..... well of you cant even get up to the old heights that the earlier Spacecraft ascended to.. how can you go to the moon?  :o
Sit down before fact like a small child, and be prepared to give up every preconceived notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abyss nature lead, or you will learn nothing. —T. H. Huxley
