Well I hope everyone had a nice New Year. I on the other hand did not but it's all good now.
Last Friday I awoke to chest pain and ended up in the hospital. Seems the Plavix I was taking ended up clogging one of my stents. So I spent the last four days in a cardiac unit. Well long story short, I needed another stent and a new blood thinner to keep them open. I'm home now and feeling well, just real tired. Good to be back home and looking forward to my 63rd in about  two weeks. Here's to all good people for the new Year. God bless you all.

Jeez Sgt. didn't realize there was issues with you partner. Glad too have you back as well.
One of our other members suffers from Seizures, he was not so lucky after med change, now he is no longer able to be on the PC due to said seizures, and consequently, he has now had a stroke, or that is what his wife had reiterated to me via an Email.

Sometimes it is scary even trying to get better, but glad you are on the rebound my friend, and keep us enlightened with what you do so well Sgt. really miss the Far side being a regular stopping place every day..

Well I thought I was good to go and then wham.. I found out later that Plavix has a tendency to clog stents in some people after about 6-8 months and I guess I am one of the unlucky ones..Of course the occassional Popeye's or Shrimp Po-Boy doesn't help.

Anyway thanks for the kind words...I'm still lurking..

Glad everything is on the right track now, you still have 264 days of 2013 to use, so take care of yourself.

Hang in there, Sarge; I don't take Plavix but Ginkgo Biloba in it's place; it makes the platelets in my blood slippery just as Plavix, so it decreases my chances of having more blood clots... one pulmonary embolism was enough...

i do believe it was the 20th and you were an ox / aquarian...
well it is coming into a snake year..so you should be ok

So, combining the good fortune of the snake and the good luck of the ox, 2013 should be pretty good.

The snake and the ox get on pretty well so there shouldn't be too many setbacks in 2013.

If there are setbacks, the person born in the Year of the Ox can defeat them!

I certainly hope everything smooths out for you, and your stents return to their normal operation in there! It must be frightening to have heart issues, and I am so glad you made it through safely.

Thank you all for the kind wishes, it's much appreciated that so many good people think so kindly of me. It gives me solace in my quiet times of thought about my future.

I don't really have too many close friends. My family is all I've got. I've kind of perpetuated that over the years because I never felt I could trust anyone except family so I've always kept people at arms length so to speak.

But since I've been on PRC, I've experienced so much kindness and genuine good vibes from people I've never even met that I realize that God has truly blessed me with FRIENDS.
