yeah well they killed non catholic christians in the inquisition to, but people don't seem to remember that. they just assume the word christian makes you automatically an inquisitioner, even when your particular form of christianity not only left the church, but tried to run away from it by getting on boats to the new world.

maybe jesus has some ships to escape the new world order eh? cause i just can't get over the creepy feeling that somehow, the vatican and highest ranking jesuits are the power houses behind all of it.   but i don't want them to die, i just don't want them to kill anybody else anymore.

Ummm no I don't see anyone doing that.. all I see is comments against the RC Church. Perhaps you are reading other posts I cannot see? Luthor went his own way to... pretty sure his group is Christian based. I don't see nay one attacking his followers (as one example)

Quite frankly the only one making such assumptions is you, because it ain't us.

Quote, even when your particular form of christianity not only left the church, but tried to run away from it by getting on boats to the new world.

Which didn't work out so well for the locals as I recall   ::)

Quotemaybe jesus has some ships to escape the new world order eh?

Okay so why can't Jesus and his Father, just say "Enough of this crap!" wave of the hand and just end it all?  All he would have to do is pop up like they did 2000 years ago, and tell it to us like it is...  why all the cloak and daggers stuff?  Just come out and slap everyone silly and say "This is how it IS!"

What am I missing? Surely a God, no matter which one is the right one, could just send his Army of Angels and just wipe it clean

Yeah I here people like Rdunk saying that is exactly what He is going to do... someday... well soon... maybe. So what's He waiting for? How much worse can it be before enough is enough?

Perhaps THAT is why so many lose faith...  because it's all words no action

Yeah Jesus likely has a spaceship. They beamed him up out of that cave, healed him in the medics office and then after saying goodbye to friends he flew back home. Given Einsteins theories he could return anytime soon and only be a few weeks older.  But he probably saw the mess down here and said screw it and went to Venus instead...

I would :P

yeah i know you don't say that about non catholic christians and as far as i can tell, nobody here does. it's mostly just people who don't know much about the history of christianity other than a few sound bites, such as when you mention anything to do with christianity, it's things like "inquisition inquistion."  and if you try to explain that many non catholic christians were also killed in the inquisition, it's "witch burnings, witch burnings."  and if you mention that it was mostly a catholic european event and only happened once in the usa and turned out to be a small community of paranoid people

and if you mention it was almost exclusively females being burned in europe, it's like some folks have lost the ability to separate ideas in their heads or come to grips with the fact that part of being a human being is compassion for others.  folks who just straight up hate every religion, are happy that islam is replacing christianity--- all christianity.   it's alot easier to get people to rise up in arms and murder, if the target is employing such backwards ideas as stonings, beheadings, and crucifixions.  had it been the other way around, it would be harder to justify killing people who have modern ideas.  so tptb are using islam to do it and then will raise up a sword against islam.  it's their modus operandi.  very easy to see it.

islam is like the vatican's lap dog and they are walking into a trap.  they don't know that, but it's also very easy to see it.  if you try to warn them they say things like "the end of the world will only come once we fight the jews and win."  they must not know that tptb already have that covered.  china march right thru their countries and do their version of ghenghis khan.

and it's all because at the tippety top, catholism, islam and talmudism, are basically hard core satanists, who have been working in cahoots with each other.  they will sacrifice every last member of their own religion or race or both, to get what they want.  they'll side with china and use them against islam, then get their own people to attack china, thereby relieving china of most of its population.   i theorize all the world leaders have jumped on the bandwagon and are helping each other kill each other's people.  eugenics.  and they all help hide the evidence in space.  and they allow each other to try new techololgies on each other's citizens.  it's bad.

all the suffering and misery has to stop, i just don't see anyway for that to happen without creating more suffering and misery.

QuoteItalian authorities have seized €23 million ($31 million Cdn) of Vatican bank assets as part of an investigation into suspected money laundering.

The Vatican said it was confused as to why financial police targeted the funds in a Vatican account at the Rome branch of the Italian bank Credito Artigiano Spa.

"The Holy See is perplexed and surprised by the initiatives of the Rome prosecutors, considering the data necessary is already available at the Bank of Italy," the Vatican said in a statement Tuesday.

Bank chairman Ettore Gotti Tedeschi and director-general Paolo Cipriani are also being investigated to determine whether European Union money-laundering rules have been violated, news reports said.

The Vatican said it has the "utmost faith" in the two men who head the bank, officially known as the Institute for Religious Works (IOR).

The probe is not the first time the bank has faced legal scrutiny. In the 1980s, it was implicated in a scandal that resulted in a banker being found hanging from Blackfriars Bridge in London.

Italian prosecutors maintain Roberto Calvi, head of the collapsed Banco Ambrosiano, was murdered, but there have been no convictions. The Vatican bank was Banco Ambrosiano's main shareholder.

In its statement responding to the latest investigation, the Vatican said it had been working for some time to make its finances more transparent to comply with anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering regulations.

The bulk of the money seized on Tuesday — €20 million — was destined for JP Morgan in Frankfurt, with the remainder going to Banca del Fucino, according to news agencies ANSA and Apcom.

According to the reports, the Vatican bank had neglected to communicate to financial authorities where the money had come from.

The reports stressed that Gotti Tedeschi wasn't being investigated for laundering money himself but for a series of omissions in financial transactions.

Prosecutors declined requests seeking confirmation of the reports.

German appointed to head scandal-hit Vatican bank

By Robin Pomeroy

VATICAN CITY | Fri Feb 15, 2013 12:22pm EST

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Vatican appointed a German lawyer to head its bank on Friday, but the bid to turn the fortunes of the scandal-hit institution was clouded by his business links to a military shipbuilder.

The appointment, made by a commission of cardinals, was approved by Pope Benedict and is likely one of his last major decisions before he resigns at the end of the month, a move he announced on Monday, stunning Catholics around the world.

As chairman of the Institute for Works of Religion (IOR), Ernst von Freyberg will head efforts to improve the image of the Vatican's bank which is under investigation for money laundering and has been without a head for nine months.

But within minutes of announcing his appointment, the Vatican faced a new public relations challenge when asked to explain Freyberg's chairmanship of Blohm + Voss, a Hamburg-based shipbuilder in which he is a minority shareholder.

Reporters asked Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi how the Church could justify hiring someone who worked for a company with a long history of making warships, including for Nazi Germany.

After initially announcing that the company was no longer involved in that business, the Vatican later issued a statement saying that, while Blohm + Voss's main activity was ship repair and luxury yacht making, it was also "part of a consortium that is building four frigates for the German navy".

British buyout firm STAR Capital which bought Blohm + Voss in 2011 from ThyssenKrupp (TKAG.DE) said at the time it was acquiring the non-military parts of the industrial conglomerate's ship business.

Lombardi said the fact that Freyberg organized pilgrimages to the shrine at Lourdes and was a Knight of Malta - an elite member of a charitable organization with roots in the Crusades - was proof he had the "considerable human and Christian sensibility" needed for his new role.

In a further clarification, the Vatican said that when Blohm + Voss's work on the four warships is complete, the company "will be 100 percent non-military".

OUSTED

Freyberg takes a position that has been vacant since May when the bank's board ousted the then head Ettore Gotti Tedeschi, accusing the Italian of neglecting his basic management responsibilities.

Gotti Tedeschi's unusually abrupt dismissal, along with the arrest of the pope's butler for stealing confidential papal documents, was the culmination of a leaks scandal that shook the Vatican and weighed on Benedict's papacy.

The Vatican has been trying to shed its image as a suspect financial center since 1982, when Roberto Calvi, an Italian known as "God's Banker" because of his links to the Vatican, was found hanging from London's Blackfriars Bridge.

In July, a European anti-money laundering committee said the Vatican bank failed to meet all its standards on fighting money laundering, tax evasion and other financial crimes.

The report by Moneyval, a monitoring committee of the 47-nation Council of Europe, found the Vatican passed nine of 16 "key and core" aspects of its financial dealings.

The report said IOR was making changes to meet the other requirements but found major failings in the running of the bank.

In 2010, Rome magistrates froze 23 million euros ($33 million) that IOR held in an Italian bank. The Vatican said at the time that its bank was merely transferring its own funds between its own accounts in Italy and Germany. The money was released in June 2011 but the investigation is continuing.

"There is a desire to fight all the way against all aspects of illegality and criminality that have insinuated themselves into the world of the economy," Lombardi said of the appointment.

Freyberg, born in 1958, will relinquish other roles, including on the board of temporary employment agency Manpower GmbH (MAN.N), to work five days a week for IOR, the Vatican said. Lombardi had previously said he would work only three days a week at IOR.

Carl Anderson, American head of the worldwide Knights of Columbus charity group and board member of the IOR said Freyberg would "contribute significantly to the IOR's ongoing work of modernization and transparency".

New Scrutiny for a Bequest to an Order of CatholicsBy SHARON OTTERMAN
Published: February 15, 2013
When Gabrielle D. Mee, a wealthy Rhode Island widow, left her $60 million fortune to a powerful Catholic order called the Legion of Christ in 2008, revelations had already begun to surface that its charismatic founder, the Rev. Marcial Maciel Degollado, had molested under-age seminarians and fathered several children.

But a niece of Mrs. Mee, Mary Lou Dauray, came to believe that her aunt must have been kept in the dark about Father Maciel's misdeeds, so that her fortune would go to the order. On Friday, thousands of pages of documents in a 2009 lawsuit that Mrs. Dauray filed were released to the public, shedding additional light on how the Legion managed information about its founder and came to control Mrs. Mee's money.

The documents had been sealed by the court, but several news organizations, including The New York Times, sued to have them released. A Rhode Island judge ruled on Thursday that there was no reason they should not be made public. They had not been fully reviewed by The Times by Friday night.

They include depositions given by top leaders of the Legion, including the Rev. Luis Garza, the current head of the Legion's North American operations.

Widowed in 1985, Mrs. Mee pledged her life to the order at age 80, and she promised that she would eventually release her assets to the organization. The papers explain how the order came to control most aspects of her life and include a deposition, given for another lawsuit, in which she explained how happy she was living with the order.

Mrs. Dauray's lawsuit was dismissed by a Rhode Island Superior Court judge last year, after he ruled that she lacked the legal standing to dispute the terms of her aunt's will. Bernard A. Jackvony, Mrs. Dauray's lawyer, said on Friday that he was filing an appeal.

"She was a very believing and trusting woman," said Mrs. Dauray, 72, who lives in California. She said she wanted her aunt's fortune to go to other Catholic charities. "I know that she wouldn't have given this money if she had known about the founder," she said.

A version of this article appeared in print on February 16, 2013, on page A15 of the New York edition with the headline: New Scrutiny For a Bequest To an Order Of Catholics..

yeah, i mean if enki is a real dude, and is still alive, (which i think he is, since we're created in his image initially and our bodies were totally regenerative before the nerf) i wonder what his response would be to the state of the planet at this point.  i know enlil would be pretty disgruntled.  but if i understand prophecy and new testament texts, jesus is gonna take ownership here real soon, particularly since he sealed the deal and in divine council lingo, this apparently means the lord of the command (enlil) will not be in command on this planet, very much longer.
