Greetings:

We believe the above photo of our flag here at the Rabun Mothership compound says it all.

Today, America is in dire straits on a variety of fronts, not the least being the 24/7/365

( 989 days today ! )

Radiation spewing from the triple melt-throughs at Fukushima, contaminating not only all citizens, but our children, pets, gardens, all the food in the fields, the animals in the fields and forests, the fish in the seas and waters of lakes, streams and rivers - all contributing to the public drinking water.   

Then the moronic Obamacare: THE BIG LIE.

The security risk of the failed website, premiums rising in most states, the FALSE PROMISE that people could keep their healthcare under the "Affordable Care Act," and the fact that Obamacare is attempting to take over one-sixth of the American economy while systematically destroying the infrastructure of the present health care system is abysmal, to say the least.

However, the process of making criminals of patriotic American citizens who do not want more government intrusion in our lives and refuse to have anything to do with this abomination is unethical and will not be tolerated.

We are looking forward to the conversation with the government agent (we used to call 'em 'revenuers' back when) who comes calling to enforce the government's position.

Coming back from a tree job in Atlanta, we thought that TPTB nuked Rabun County,
thinking that they might get a three-fer - AmaterasuSolar, Eva Herr and thorfourwinds in one move.   

We be ready for the coming bitter winter deep snow.

We are pleased to award you your first Gold for such an astute observation

That tree that is featured in the above article is the oak on the left side of the following photo - right above the word 'after.'




FYI-

Rabun is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 16,276. The county seat is Clayton, with a population of 2,019.

With an average annual rainfall of over 70 inches (1,800 mm), Rabun County has the title of the rainiest county in Georgia and one of the rainiest counties east of the Mississippi River... making for rainforest conditions and great fishing.   

We live on the outskirts on the side of a mountain - at the end of the road - backing on the national forest, sharing a common small stream border.   

The classic movie - Deliverance - was filmed a few miles from our lovely home.   





Billy, the kid banjo player, is the cook at the small family-owned/run restaurant where we enjoy a hearty breakfast before a romp in the woods.

This is a North Carolina friend - about 20 miles upriver from the mothership here in Rabun County.
