The Glorious Burden

This is a song written by a friend, John Schafer, who is the leader of the band Iced Earth. He wrote this in honor of the battle of Gettysburg in specific, but it fills the patriotic heart with fire and sorrow, and the wonderful mix of metal and symphony instrumentals has made it one of my favorite music pieces of all time.

Happy Memorial Day to all here and afar, with respect for those who perished in the path to freedom along the way.
