oy my ats gate thread is spiking new interest but from a gang similar to the one that dethroned mr. lear, playing tag team with each other as well.  not sure how to proceed but i just thought i'd warn pegasus, if you want information from the thread, it might be a good idea to get it now, just in case

I saved all three hundred pages once  Will have to see if they are there  if not copy them again.  I am sure they are though because I was looking for someone to do a transcript in PDF form like they did with Sleepers thread

The "plan" was to put the threads here and split them from undo's Enki approach and my technical look.

I started that here already and Russo copied all of my posts for about 100 pages into the workshop

The idea was to put it together more in order, and take into account the changes in thoughts and data

But it is a monumental project   There is so much data there it is effectively several books

I usually use HTTrack to download sites, but it doesn't always gives the results I am expecting (I don't know who is to blame, me or the program ), so, in other cases, I just make an HTML page with the links to all the pages (I use Excel to make the list, it makes it extremely easy ), and then I use FreeDownloadManager to download all the links in that page.

There's another method, but I only used it for images, I don't know if it works for dynamic pages created by the server.

Just some info. I use HTTrack and haven't had any problems to speak of. But I'm usually looking more at graphics than anything else. Just a heads up.

DOH!  yeah "Download Them All"Firefox plugin has a feature to do a list  Didn't figure out how to paste a list but it was easy to add one number to the end manually

All 323 pages now saved, images and all  (unfortunately with all the ad crap too )

Attention all archive professionals.

Use PDFCREATOR. Its free and does a wonderful job grabbing the web page(S) and producing PDF documents of web pages, images and links within.

You download it, install it and when you want that stuff on screen, you right click and select print, the print job dialog box opens and you choose pdfcreator to print the web page to a file in a folder you name and create to store the print job. That print job is saved as a pdf document.

There is another thing included with the pdf creator that allows you to add pages and write in the pdf documents.
