THE SEA IS BOILING

Sea water off the Fukushima Daiichi plant appears to have reached the core and is causing the sea water to BOIL....  I just saw this today on Facebook and need to track it down....

Japan Times: Extreme contamination in Fukushima reactor buildings 'most likely' mixing into aquifer, reveals Tepco — Bloomberg: Could this flow downstream to Tokyo and present a big risk?
Published: August 26th, 2013

QuoteUPI, August 22, 2013: TEPCO said late Wednesday that radiation levels in groundwater are so high the most likely explanation is that radioactive water from the plant's cooling system is leaking from the reactors into basements and mixing with water from local aquifers,The Japan Times reported.

World Nuclear Industry Status Report 2013: An expert reactor engineer estimated the amount of radioactivity that had seeped into the water that fills the basement of the reactor buildings [...] as of 20 November 2012 [is] Cesium-137: 276 PBq (i.e. 40 percent of the reactor core inventory) [...] about 2.5 to 3.3 times, depending on the estimate, the total amount released into the environment from the Chernobyl accident.

Bloomberg News, August 22, 2013 – (At 2:15 in) Host: Is there any risk that gets into the downstream water supply? Could this flow downstream to Tokyo and present a big risk? [...] Michael Friedlander, Nuclear Engineer: I'm not a hydrologist [...] But certainly anytime you have contamination in the aquifer by diffusion process and by the normal underground flows of water, who knows where it's going to end up at.

TV: 200% as many radioactive products returned to Japan this year than in 2011 says Russian report

Russia sends radioactive products back to Japan

According to the Russian news agency Prima Media, from January to September in this year, the radiation dose exceeded of Russia standard value was detected from 319 goods, such as used car, food, medical supplies and others which were imported from Japan, to the Russian Far East ports.

The Russia customhouse did not accept importing 284 goods, then, send back to Japan. 145 goods send back to Japan in whole last year, due to the radiation dose exceeded of standard value was detected in the Russian Far East area. But, It will reach almost double compared to 2011 with this year, even until September.

Egypt authorities find another case of radiation in Japanese shipment

QuoteStaff
Egypt's General Authority for Export and Import Control recently discovered radioactive cargo in two containers shipped from Japan to Ain Sokhna port, the Red Sea Ports Authority said.

This is the third radioactive shipment Egypt has discovered over the past month.

The radioactive material was found aboard ships carrying electric and mechanical instruments. A letter from Egypt's atomic energy authorities confirmed the cargo had above-regulation radiation levels.

An official at the seaport said the Ministry of Environment and DP Worlds, which runs the Ain Sokhna port, transferred the ships to a sandy area in order to prevent the radiation from spreading to other shipments and vessels.

The authority said it would review communications between Japan and the companies that imported the shipments. It had said in late July it would immediately withdraw the shipping licenses of any companies responsible for importing radioactive cargo.

In June, three other shipments were detected with radiation above permitted levels.

Several countries have imposed a ban on imports from Japan, fearing the effects of a series of failures at its Fukushima nuclear reactor following the 9.0 magnitude earthquake that hit the country in March.

Japan Fukushima toxic water leak a Level 3 'serious incident'
By Jethro Mullen and Junko Ogura, CNN
updated 9:49 AM EDT, Wed August 28, 2013

Tokyo (CNN) -- Japan's nuclear watchdog on Wednesday said a toxic water leak at the tsunami-damaged Fukushima Daiichi power plant has been classified as a level 3 "serious incident" on an international scale.

The Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) said it had made the decision after consulting with the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency, said Juntaro Yamada, a spokesman for the regulator.

Fukushima Watch: Authority Chairman Not Convinced Level 3 Needed

Just a week after Japan's nuclear regulator declared the leak of radioactive water at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant big enough for a Level 3 incident rating, the regulator's head is wondering publicly if it really deserved that rating after all.

Based on the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale, a Level 3 rating is considered a "serious incident." For the sake of comparison, the 2005 leak of 83,000 liters of radioactive waste at the Sellafield nuclear reprocessing site in the U.K. was also given a Level 3 rating on the International Atomic Energy Agency's scale. Both the Fukushima Daiichi and the Chernobyl disasters were assigned the scale's highest Level 7 rating.

While it might seem like Tokyo Electric Power9501.TO -3.95%, the plant's operator, would have a precise measurement of the amount of water that had been leaked, the current incident actually started with puddles discovered outside a storage tank of contaminated water. When workers subsequently checked the levels of the 1,000 metric ton water tank, they found only 700 tons. The missing water was presumed to have drained into a surrounding trench.

"We don't think the leak was exactly 300 tons," said Shunichi Tanaka, chairman of the Nuclear Regulation Authority, said at a regular press conference on Wednesday. "It could be much more or much less," he added, saying that Tepco calculated the amount based on the assumption that the tank had been full.

The Japanese used to be so precise about things. It's a shame that reputation is taking such a hit.

Question for anyone who may know - is Japan working with other countrys' experts on this or are they going it alone?

PS: Wasn't there something in Revelations or another apocryphal text about the seas boiling?

In "The Gospel According to LUKE" Chapter 25 verse 25 Quote;

Quote25.   And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;
and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26.     Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming
on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

We can find similar descriptions in "The Book of the Prophet ISAIAH" (O.T.) Chapter 24 Quote;

Quote1.    Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste,
and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

The Inversion of the Earth ? ? ?

Quote2.     And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant,
so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller;
as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.

3    The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled:
for the LORD hath spoken this word.

4.    The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away,
the haughty people of the earth do languish.

5.    The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws,
changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

6.    Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate:
therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

7.    The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.

8     The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.

9.    They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.

10.     The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

11.     There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.

12.     In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

13.     When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be
as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

14.     They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD,
they shall cry aloud from the sea.

15.     Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel
in the isles of the sea.

16.     From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous.
But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously;
yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

17.    Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

18.     And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear
shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken
in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

19.     The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved,
the earth is moved exceedingly.

20.     The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage;
and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

21.     And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host
of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

22. And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit,
and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

23. Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts
shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

Problem is no one has correct figures  Watch that video where TEPCO say they really have no idea how much is actually flowing... they say "Please give us time to check that..."

Ummm TIME? REALLY?

Fukushima governor urges govt. to address leakage
Aug. 28, 2013 - Updated 09:58 UTC

Seems they still are letting TEPCO handle it...

QuoteThe governor of Fukushima Prefecture has asked the central government to take the lead in dealing with the seemingly endless problems of water leakage at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

Highly radioactive groundwater has been found to be seeping out to sea from the plant. This month, more than 300 tons of contaminated wastewater was revealed to have leaked from a storage tank. Some of it may have reached the ocean.

Governor Yuhei Sato visited the Nuclear Regulation Authority in Tokyo on Wednesday.

Sato told the authority's chairman Shunichi Tanaka that the situation can no longer be handled solely by the plant's operator, Tokyo Electric Power Company.

He asked the government to regard the problem as a national emergency and step up monitoring of the plant and guidance of the firm.

Tanaka promised quick action in dealing with the leaks.

Nuclear regulators had ordered TEPCO to swiftly determine the cause of the tank leak and take preventive measures for about 300 other tanks that hold highly radioactive wastewater.

Sato also visited Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and handed him a letter outlining similar requests.

Motegi said the government hopes to draw up by early next month measures for dealing with groundwater contamination.
