Aug 27, NASA ISS onboard camera You tell me what THAT is

Very interesting object - that is what I say it is, a very interesting object :)

No way to know its size, as that is too relative to distance from camera, which is uknown. Because of the brighter spots, we can say it does seem to have a horizontal plane. I suppose that it could have direct relevance to the ISS in some manner, if it actually is very close. If it is at considerable distance, then it may be the length or diameter of a football field.

It seemed to morph? Definitely moved. I wonder if its organic?

Crazy...they didn't know themselves.

THAT my friend is the point... and after the cameras come back online it is gone and they don't know where it went

Yeah noticed that. When I have time I will try a frame by frame look

MAN!! What I would have given to be there at that moment!! I am sorry, but I would have suited up for space walk and grabbed hand held video Camera/Camera while observing it continuously. What this is I am not sure, but bet your bottom dollar given the opportunity, I sure as he!! would have investigated it 'Closer!!' and uninterrupted visual contact.

What a lost opportunity there. Thanks for sharing 'Z', very intriguing. Would like to see those frame by frame shot 'Z', I too seen it doing something as well.

After watching this video more closely, I can see some reflective resemblances from the left to right, second hatch seal and then there is also the Cantilevered object with perforation holes in it that also shows some strange reflective resemblances as well.

I do know that the ISS has some thick viewing ports for high vacuum pressured systems, so this may very well be some sort of a 'Disfigured Reflection' of one of these areas I had mentioned.

The 'Morphing/Changing' event happens as the light reflection is changing as well, this could also explain why the object seemingly disappears by the end of the footage. Though I cannot absolutely say this is the fact of the matter, it is one possibility of how they were seeing this object real time via the port window or if they were witnessing through Port Camera.

Just thought I would add this observation as it does seem to coincide with the event and the light reflections and positioning as time elapses.

I noticed that too, and I agree, it's possible that we are seeing the reflection of something that is illuminated at the beginning and not at the end, something that happens frequently in the ISS, as it makes an orbit in something like 90 minutes, I think. :)

Yes, then the thickness of the Port viewing widow causes the objects to become somewhat magnified by the reflective properties and the combination of the the Port thickness.

There are a few areas that resemble the light patterns of the alleged object and what we see after this magnification would be applied. So, very may well be an unintentional form of Misidentification here. Also gives it a 'Shadowed' 3-D effect as well, but matches nicely from reflective surfaces to alleged object too.

So if it IS a reflection... that means NASA astronots cannot tell a reflection from an 'object'

:o

according to an article I just read on the cameras, they are mounted outside the lab; so how can it be a reflection from the glass if it is outside the glass to start with? plus, if you watch closely, the object is rotating slowly from right to left...

NASA launches ISS webcam streaming video

Internet visitors can now see the Earth as never before - live from the International Space Station (ISS) via streaming video, seven days a week.

The streaming video views of Earth and the exterior structure of the station are from cameras mounted outside the laboratory complex, orbiting Earth at 17,500 miles an hour at an altitude of 220 miles.

The video is transmitted to the ground - and Web viewers - primarily while the astronauts aboard the complex are asleep, usually from about 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. CST. When live feeds are not available, a map showing the current location and path of the station will be streamed from NASA's Mission Control in Houston.

IF the camera is outside then it can't be a reflection.
