I think I just received an IP ban from Channel 4  :o

I was just browsing youtube when I came across this:

I unliked the video on youtube, not because of  the youth parliamentary members,  but because of how the presenter was trying to steer the conversation negatively, and detract from all meaningful debate.

(notice that comments are disabled)

Directly 5 minutes later, I just went to view a program on 4OD (On demand) to be met with 'Webpage cannot be found). I presumed there must have been a problem with that particular area of the site, I went to the main domain to find that can't be found either.

I just mailed the link to a friend, she can access it fine.

Are you saying that they possibly banned your IP because of not liking the video? I think that's highly unlikely.

I think that would be highly unlikely also - however, the observation remains, I could access Channel 4 yesterday, but not today, after immediately disliking one of their productions.

I'll leave the rest open ended, and await to see if I shall ever regain access.

Cut and paste the video URL into, is it down, and it should tell you if the server is down or if its down just for you.

Edit to ad: copy and paste the following code into notepad and save as flashbang.bat or whatever you wanna call it with .bat. Its a bat file to clear out your ip and dns than refresh your ip. Save the file to the desk top and just double click it to make it do its thing.

----------------------------------CUT AND PASTE CODE BELOW---------------------------------

@echo off
color 0A
ipconfig /release

echo The IP address has been released. Waiting to renew

ipconfig /flushdns

echo The DNS cache has been flushed

arp -d

ipconfig /renew

echo The IP address has been renewed
pause

-------------------------------------------WINDOWS ONLY--------------------------------------

A friend of Sinny could see the site, so the site wasn't down.

That only works if the computer gets the IP address directly from the ISP, if it gets the IP address from somewhere else, like a router, then it wouldn't work, as the sites will still see the external IP address.

GodLicksPopsicles blocks proxies and tor. You will have to either shut your router off for 24 hours to get a new IP or go into router management and change the MAC address sent to dish. Change the MAC should assign a new IP. You can also change the MAC on the computer with a download software.
