ICE AGE IS A COMMIN!!@!

For a HUNDRED AND TWELVE (112) years it hasn't snowed a single snowflake in Egypt!!! And now this!

So is there an ice age every 112 years?  When the snow gets to the top of those pyramids I will get worried. Man it looks cold there. A lot of sleeping with Camels tonight. In the north it is a 3 dog night, I wonder how many camels it would take. But last I heard they started to eat or shot them because of no tourest money. Ciro is in a mess...Where did you make get the photo from?

I see it is 12C/42F today with a 83% chance of snow. Time to ski the pyrmaid. Wooohoooo!

Only if it's a local Ice Age, no snow here in Portugal. :)

I wonder if the snow in Egypt and Israel is just incidental, or does it have a lot to do with the fact that the "Sun's Current Solar Activity Cycle Is Weakest in a Century".

Oh, but of course, it is simply a result of global warming, and we are going to have 30 years of such weather, as has already been prophesied by global warming advocates!!  :P

There was a mini ice age in Europe that saw the invention of the Fireplace in castles, window panes and tapestrries on the now cold castle walls

Krakatoa was 1883... I will have to see what was going on in 1901  because I just found this

Netherlands – Coldest May 23 since 1901
by ROBERT on MAY 23, 2013

QuoteIn 112 years it has not been this cold on May 23 as it was today. So says Weatherplaza. In parts of Noord-Brabant and Limburg it did not get warmer than 8 degrees, in Noord-Holland and Friesland 11 degrees.

In the Noordoostpolder it was the warmest with 11,7 degrees. For a long time the cold record from May 23, 1975 seemed to be broken. That day it did not get any warmer than 10,4 degrees in De Bilt. But because around 18:20 the temperature shortly rose to 10,5 degrees, so that record still holds.

The reason that you were wearing probably a winter coat today is polar air that has invaded our country. Also the North Sea water was colder than normally, so this could not warm the incoming air.  According to Weatherplaza this weekend it is not getting any better. Next week temperatures will be rising a little bit, but it stays clearly much colder than normal.

Arctic polar sea ice increased 50% over last year!!! Is ice age returning? Well, when we see evidence that the amount of ice is growing.........., what might be a logical answer to that question?

CRYOSAT SATELLITE FINDS ARCTIC ICE INCREASED 50% IN VOLUME

Polar sea ice increased 50% over last year, growing from 6,000 to 9,000 cubic kilometers when compared to the same period in 2012. Moreover, this year's multi-year ice is 30 cm thicker than last year, and scientists claim that thick, multi-year ice indicates healthy Arctic sea-ice cover.

The results were revealed by the European Space Agency (ESA) CryoSat satellite mission. The CryoSat-2 was launched in April 2010 and is designed to measure sea-ice thickness across the entire Arctic Ocean. The satellite's findings indicate that the volume of Arctic sea ice has increased substantially.

These findings prove to be at odds with Al Gore's predictions back in 2009 when he spoke at the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Gore stated that computer models reflect "that there is a 75% chance that the entire north polarized cap during some of the summer months could be completely ice free during the next 5-7 years."

Past satellite missions showed a decline in Arctic Ocean ice over the last few decades. However, the actual volume of sea ice has proven difficult to determine because it moves around, so its thickness can change. The CryoSat-2 satellite has provided Scientists with information that, for the first time, allows them to accurately measure ice thickness.

"We didn't expect the greater ice extent left at the end of this summer's melt to be reflected in the volume. But it has been, and the reason is related to the amount of multi-year ice in the Arctic," said Rachel Tilling from the UK's Center for Polar Observation and Modeling, who spearheaded the study.

Climate Change advocates still warn that this increase in ice volume does not indicate a reversal in the long-term trend. CryoSat-2 measurements demonstrate that the Earth's climate might not be warming, but it is changing.

Well hell.  So do I need to turn the thermostat up or down?  I'm confused!

You're confused but with a thermostat, many people are confused without having that luxury.

don't need that word.

Yes I agree, I have no thremostat either. Seems we are getting what ever mother nature want to dish out these days. Still intersted if Z can find any 112 year patern back further. And relate it to something. Maybe a Sun wobble? A solor system wobble?
