As far as i know the fcc doesnt control the internet.so no license needed.
Its good to have someone who knows the trade though.

although you're not really broadcasting over the air waves in the traditional sense, you still need a server that can broadcast live shows, and the issue with that is that many servers who provide internet space for web domains like thelivingmoon.com, don't have the necessary channel to broadcast live.

i dont remember all the details now but i did research it, and if the host who z bought the web domain from doesn't provide a channel, like channel 8000 or something, it's a port or something on the server, i don't remember now, you won't be able to broadcast and stream live internet radio

the other options are as follows

pay for a monthly server access that does stream live broadcasts
or
get a free one and pay for every viewer over 1000
or
make an actual radio station which would then air live, and could be recorded and saved to the internet
or
any variations on those themes

we talked about it and decided to just go with skype recordings

I am a little off here? If you are going to do a live internet radio show then someone has to pick up the chat live and broadcast it out over the radio other wise it is not a true live radio show, just an internet live show. I can not listen to it with my cars radio. Also a radio show needs no pictures. just audio. Are we talking about a live Pod cast? Maybe easy to do with one person but with call ins and guests not as easy. I say start slow with Vids of an event and work up from there. Feel it out first. This may go 3 shows and drop or it may go for 20 years strong.

I still like the idea of picking a thread and chomping on that with several members. A live thread sort of speak. It what we do best. When and if if we get live guests, a show can be done on them. But back up shows need to be designed on what is in the news here this week. So maybe each show should have a Peggy week section. A what's hot this week. Or when the show breaks to commercial.

Also going live only works good for your time zone. What about the rest of the world?

we can have round tables occassionally, but the more people you add, the less specific you can get on a topic.  1 on 1 interviews are the most revealing. we can do roundtables inbetween 1 on 1 interviews, as fillers.

here's the guest template.
http://thelivingmoon.com/undomiel/amy/thorfourwinds.html

so now when you click on a guest link on the main page, you'll see the blank template till their info is added.

this is an example of the layout of the template
http://thelivingmoon.com/undomiel/amy/guesttemplate.html

same for archives.
when you click on a show archive, it pops up the page for that show
thusly (this just has sample videos to show the basic layout of show archives

Can you tell us about the free streaming you were talking about .above.
Is that streaming video also.because i think a 24 streaming real news broadcast is the way i would want to go.
Think of it.a real news show streaming live 24hours a day.no propaganda.just facts.
ive never been much for rules.

the problem is,  once you have 1000 viewers they start charging and it goes up fast. what's to stop them from saying you have 1000 viewers or running a script that makes it appear as if you have that many.

That's why I don't listen to ATS' "radio" shows, they start at 2:00 AM for me.

Think Big!

You want to WOW the audience with technology and get it now information. Podcasting is a thing of the past and long gone for the new age. Live broadcast using icecast or shoutcast is the new (new for some cause its been around for years) thing and all those with something to tell want one.

You want live national radio you have to first be affiliated to stations like coast to coast. That takes cash and sponsors and listeners to succeed. But wait a minute now, you can do that with internet radio and the cost is so affordable.

You want to do utube videos with flashy intro's, get em off ebay. They sell that stuff so you don't have to hire someone to make that.

You need a chat room so you can be in touch with your audience in case the station goes silent because the NSA cuts the hardline after you talk about stuff they want secret. It happens.

You can monitor your radio program from the chat room as the listeners will ask questions and report a moment of silence or bad feed. To have 1000 listeners will not happen till later down the line and by then things should be in order to up scale the stream service.

So, you are thinking, how do we broadcast from the sanctum of the living room table. They have free software for you to do that and that software records your shows so that later, you can upload to utube or host the mp3 file on the pegasus server with a link for listeners to click and listen.

I installed a new chat room and have been defining the user interface for a more pleasing look and to allow mobile users access. Thanks to sarge for alerting me that my flashchat room fails to work in mobile devices since there's an issue with flash codeing the player software for mobile devices.

Have a look and participate: http://vidaudio.info/Talk

You don't have to register, just a name and check select guest than submit to enter.

z does not want to be interviewed.  i have asked countless times.   maybe you could convince him!

i don't want to be interviewing myself but i will speak up about what the forum is about on the first show and praise Lord Z, profusely, since he won't allow it in an interview lol

Understandably so. You have to prepare the show monologue with mutual understanding, this is what we will talk about today/night, here are the relevant questions, now be prepared to answer. One more thing, you always have another program side kick standing by for that moment of silence or speaker brain fog kicks in and the side kick tosses out some facts or information to smooth out the row edges of the show.

Do it once and the rest comes easy. The hard part is doing it for the first time.

You do a live callin and I will be on your line talking. I could be the side kick since I can open the stream with the program lead speaker and me on the air.

can everyone check this page and tell me what size the menu is below the big image and if it's horizontal or vertical?  like is it up and down or side to side
http://thelivingmoon.com/undomiel/amy/pegasus.html

I opened it in Dragon browser which is google chrome painted over and it looks fine.

Although, the orange content platform should be in a table as background so it could be simply a 600 by 100 or so orange background image with the dark outline. That way you create a table row <tr> and a <td> to hold the image and allow content to flow onto the background image and grow the height as content is added.

Amaterasu

Anything costing money is flat out unless someOne volunteers the purchase.  Neither Beth nor I have any money to spend on this.

We chose to make a weekly presentation (not a live show) for a number of reasons:

1.  The time to listen is whatever is convenient for the audience
2.  The time to create the shows can be anytime that works for Our guests
3.  There is no money expenditure

If there is interest and effort in making this a live thing by Others here, We will not turn it away, but will run into issues with numbers 1 & 2.
"If the universe is made of mostly Dark Energy...can We use it to run Our cars?"

"If You want peace, take the profit out of war."
