So ive been bored lately and decided to do some research into the recent threats made by china against the philipines and the islands off japan.
I decided to research there mineral wealths as that is what china has continued to seek out.
What i found was many resources available in those areas.the main one being nickel at both locations.
So i then checked into what nickel was used for and about halfway through the list was armor plating for military naval decks.
This got me thinking.china has just built a aircraft carrier.
There is also quano on the jap islands.this could be converted into amonia nitrate for gunpowder.
Of course there is other things like oil gas fish etc.
I believe these are stepping stones to china becoming a world sea powe

As the united states continues to decline.i see china filling the vacuum on the high seas.
In the art of war.you take baby steps forward.as long as these two baby step islands are held.then it holds back china from world supremacy.
