Server has been impossible to get a live chat person all day  waited hours to get through

Domain name has been set to a new IP addrress

Problem is I still cannot get into my own site via the web

I am using a Proxy right now...

Odd thing is that my daughters computer can access it but mine and my wife's can't

Have reset and cleared all caches, cookies anything I can think of but  FF, chrome or IE get through...  keep getting a cannot find server

tried rebooting the modem to change computer IP but so far no luck.  Didn't think of the Proxy till just now. Have spent 4 hours cleaning off bugs on my wife's comp. Finally got that fixed (I hope)

So will have to see if I can fix this in the morning. Seems the pointers are stuck on the old IP and I can't figure out where to change them

Copy and paste the following code into notpad and name flush.bat

@echo off
color 0A
ipconfig /release

echo The IP address has been released. Waiting to renew

ipconfig /flushdns

echo The DNS cache has been flushed

arp -d

ipconfig /renew

echo The IP address has been renewed
pause

Double click it and it cleans the dns cache and resets the ipconfig.

Edit to ad:

This is for the local windows machine only and not the server.

AND!

Look at your computers hostfile. Some dirty Jinn aka NSA may have slipped a 127 loop in there.

Hi Gigas,

Interesting what you posted..

Are you quite knowledgeable about Computer attacks, viruses etc..

When you mention about NSA may slip in something into ones computer and refer to the computers hostfile...

Does that tend to be a place that the likes of NSA , CIA , MI5 etc may place things on our computers if they monitor us & where evidence of it  may be found....

I was disturbed to learn that some of the well known antivirus software can be and has been used to spy on us with the creator of Macafee admitting to  that he has turned on some part of it in the past to monitor & spy certain people ....

Not sure what to think of AV programs anymore !

Anyone is welcome to spy on me, as much as they like, because then they will come to know me,
as I really am !   :)

Just so long as they don't stuff up things on my computer... I don't mind at all...  LOL.

Hi Matrix,

Not myself being an expert on computers , viruses / spyware..I am not exactly sure how it all works...It seems rather a complex subject..

As far as I know somehow, anyone who knows what they are doing can send some form of code to spy on another persons computer if they have the right things in place...

I thought that in most cases they send the spyware or code to get  actually onto or into our computers....somehow... often this can occur if we upload certain things to our computers or click on links on certain websites or within emails etc....Some Antiviruses May detect them and prevent harm..Hoping that Not all the AVs we use are not also aimed at spying on or monitoring us..unlike Mcafee admitted..

I suspect and only suspect that maybe the likes of the CIA / NSA have the very best spyware, or viruses that most AVs cannot detect...

That certainly makes me wonder..

Depending what one has on their computer..in my case , It would certainly concern me if I knew that Gov Spy organisations or anyone with the right know how could look into things on my computer hard drive, that  one wants to remain purely private or secret...be it Financial information, special software or anything else..

So I THINK it may be the case that they do or can  access direct into ones computer files..

I had someone destroy some of my past websites in the past and that caused me no end of problems & expense in time and money..

I have had problems with some sites all day, getting a page saying that it was possible to get a DNS response (or something like that).
I changed my network DNS server from Google to my ISP's server (I changed some time ago when I was having problems with my ISP's DNS server) and the problems stopped.

Almost 3 million attacks today (per hour)

1 of my PC's is compromised :(

NOT ONE story breaking anywhere, except this one.

Every program installed opens your computer to someone. Microsoft just deleted tor in computers that had been hacked and a virus of sorts installed tor secretly to zombie the pc and do some work for the hackers.

The fbi set up a global network of DNS servers 2011 to monitor internet traffic for a DNS virus sent round the planet. I noticed it was then that my internet slowed to a crawl and since, every one has been slowed down. My findings for this is the NSA and FBI are looking at everything. The FBI did come clean on that DNS server switcheroo and said they are going to turn off anyones computer from getting on the net if they failed to clean the virus off their machine(s) by July 2013.

Thanks for the feedback  Gigas,   8)

I had no idea about the fbi activities...Very concerning !

I will have to try and understand & if possible act on some of this...

What a nightmare it is having a computer / internet connection these days !  :o

May have to ask a few more questions at some later time if need be..

Cheers for now !

Just to add to the issue of spyware and viruses..

I had a host site that I had some websites on a few years ago...after trying to learn some basic webdesign..

and one day I found my web host site had been hacked several days or weeks after I clicked on one of my own website and also obtained a virus on my computer.

I tried to run several of the FREE Antivirus programs on my computer... ( Not my Host site/server) and NONE removed the virus..

In the end I had to use the services of a special Free Forum (of Computer experts who deal with virus removal) that after many days eventually helped me at least get my computer to run at least reasonably again..( That was a previous hard drive from what I use now) but it was an utter nightmare and even the experts had issues trying to deal with it.

I later accessed my host site and looked at the HTML code on my webpages... and found the Program Code/s of the virus...
To make things worse they varied..

I was later informed that the two main ways that I could have been attacked were some hacker accessing my password to get into behind my web host/ html webpages..

Or if one had what is known as a OPT in Form on the webpage.. that is for someone to sign up for something like further information on something... ie one would send their name and email address to ask for more information...that a hacker could just as easily send the virus through the opt in form..and I assume that this could infect everything / every webpage on the host server site...

Then if anyone was to click on that webpage their computer would become infected..like mine did..

If it is that easy for them to just send a virus through a OPT IN page form.. ie where you fill in your name and email address... then I do not see any way to stop them...other than not have any opt in page and always change your password on a regular basis.

THERE MAY be some Hosting website services  that can be protected with some sort of security, but it would be very expensive.

After later trying to research them..Most if not all cheaper ones are NOT protected...there are just too many customers using them to be able to protect all the host sites..

Also for anyone not already aware....

Beware of spyware / malware that can track your keyboard strokes..what is known as Keylogger spyware....

It can monitor your keyboard activity and anything that you may write.. such as New creation of  Passwords... so changing password is no guarantee of security...unless you know you are not being monitored..

I am sure in the past I had this on one  my computers...
From what I recall yes it slows things down and one can see that it becomes awkward to say write emails and the browser or mouse movements or writing of each letter when doing an email become delayed..ie you write a word or letter and it seems to take a second or two for the letters to appear as you write...ie there is a delay in the letters appearing on the screen in an email message or eg..

That's when they almost monitor everything we do on our computers in terms of writing things !
