G'day All Pegasonians!

Last weekend our little Mystic Yeti Hiking Club travelled from Melbourne to Tasmania to visit Cradle Mountain.

All in all we probably hiked a conservatley estimation of about 50km in two day's which included rock scrambling onto the summit of Cradle Mountain.

The Mystic Yeti Crew:

First Stop At Carpark - Dove Lake:

Thee Mystic Yeti Canalien... Yep our leader/General went up with his daughter on his Back who weighed 16kg, along with a pack on his front.  The Funny thing about the scramble up the hard part of Cradle Mountain was that the people coming down as we went up were telling us about a guy with his baby on his back and how crazy it was.... LOL  our response was "Yeah he is with us or WAS with us... as he has blitzed us... He's been up Everest before"   ;D

On the Second Day we walked to Barn Bluff, and came upon this really odd Tree which looks Dead, but Oddly IS not Dead.  Odd Tree thats for sure... I want one!

Random European Guy we made friends with on the top of Cradle Mountain!:

Not the best pics as it was getting late... and I am one to leave the critters alone and not get off the trail to bug them as these little critters need all the help they can get!

They are as cute as your would imagine them to be!

Don't want to derail your thread, but I thought I make you feel better about being back at work!

Mic you could never derail a thread as you are a Gent of a Gentleman mate! ;)

I have only done snow once in my life when I was very young in the 80's... we had a freak snowstorm in a location that never recieve's snow.  I'm glad the web wasn't around then as it woulda been all 2012 doom porn LOL

I must try snow Mic... as I discovered in the last few months that there are Snow Scoots.  I like the idea that my ankles wont be strapped into a boot with 6 odd foot of leverage whilst riding one :D

Video of Snow Scoot's!

Ok little update my end!

I just completed my first ultra-marathon 100km last weekend in a time of 15hr's and 54 minutes which is pretty slow compared to most but I don't care as I bloody well got off my arse and made it to the end!

I don't have any pictures to share as I was pretty busy LOL, but this video is a short wrap up from one of the pro photographer's at the scene of madness which capture's the Surf Coast Beach quite well.  I would like to think Matrix would be proud of my sun gazing through the crest's of wave's that are world famous ;)

SurfCoast Century Short Wrapup

If you asked my family whether I would do such an event again they all seem to say I was saying "never again".  Two day's later and I cannot wait for next year.

The focus I came out of that day with in regards to LIFE is quite incredible.  The broken rib I gained at the 30-40km mark hurt's the next day LOL

One broken rib explanation for Aramap (my motorcycling fiend Go Esotril)  My left foot suddenly found grip on a small rock on the track which then caused me to High Side Face First into the Dirt  ;D ;D ;D
