Well that explains why Obama told NASA   NO you can't go back to the moon and NO you cannot go to Mars

QuoteI dont have time to comb through the 337,000 Fatwads
that were issued by the awquaf,

If this story is one of them, then there are 336,999 more that I have missed. Looks like thread supply for years.  :o  Start typing,

re: the other comments:

Well, what I am posting below is why for a long time I, as a Christian, have no problem with how we humans continue, on or off of this planet. It is comforting to know that where ever we are, God will still know where we are, and will always be there for us, and will "gather us together".

It would be my guess that still many Christians have not really taken note of the specific "off-world promise" of these two scriptures.

Bible, Amplified Translation:

Matthew 24:31
And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect (His chosen ones) from the four winds, [even] from one end of the universe to the other.

Mark 13:27
And then He will send out the angels and will gather together His elect (those He has picked out for Himself) from the four winds, from the farthest bounds of the earth to the farthest bounds of heaven.

Would it help if they got a return trip ticket with no scheduled date?

There are many things that man has done that he does not know if he will return but this is one that he knows he will not come back. A one way ticket that I will pass on. But you can call me when I am 80 and try again. Just to fly to Mars and die is not an option for me! If even the slightest chance was there for a return it would change my mind. In the end they will be first and then at a later date someone will have to go there and clean up the mess of dead people.

I don't know but being first to die there does seem like one big step for stupid.

If I had said before I would go I have now changed my mind. [because]
I will wait for PeggyII, the panetary UFO.

LOL - Deuem, we all have a different way of looking at things. For me, dying isn't "stupid", rather dying is "for certain". You and I are going to die! Then only bit of choice we have to make is, how do we want to live our lives until we do die.

Even Mars One plans are not being made for expecting the people to be dying right away, after getting there. More are going to be following, and living previsions are going to be made. Yes, if they make to the planet, they may smash into it, as such is always a possibility. But if they do, it will probably be on video, as pretty much everything they are going to do will be open air and on realtime video. :)

Yes, we all want to live as long as we can, but my belief is that the people who die the happiest, are those who die doing what they like best to do - and that is "whatever floats one's boat", as some in the "south of USA" might say

z,

wait a minute. where's that guy who says walk the neutral line, keeping light and dark in balance.  you'd need one heckuvalot of light to make up for killing people just cause they don't want to go to mars lol

p.s. also didn't you say we already have a secret space program?  why would we need 2?

Balance would be achieved by the millions of Martian saved form Islamic Jihads :P

Because the secret space program is secret and won't give me a ride to go rock hunting and staking out mining claims. NAVY specifically says so :P

aww. well if it's any consolation, once you get off this rock, however you get off this rock, you will be able to go to other rocks and pick up almost the same type of rocks and think...... huh, this looks just like the rocks from that other rock i lived on.

what you really need is new rocks and new rocks are not likely found in this particular universe, which is guided by all the same laws of physics and elements.  i'm thinking other universes would likely have different physics and different elements. and that would be the version of heaven where geologists, rock hunters and treasure hunters go.  :D

well i take that back, you'll only need the heavenly library for that, although i imagine there'd be a section for excursions, complete with felt fedoras, leather whips and leather covered water pouches.

yeah and it's exciting and all that, but once you find out its basic elements, it just ends up being another rock just like the other rock.  lol

listen to me, i know what i'm saying -- you would be in geologist heaven if you were in a place where rocks existed that didn't even contain the elements we work with nor perhaps obey the same laws of physics.

wait for it.....

REAL FLOATING ROCKS.

eh don't let 'em fool ya.  they gotta have nano tech up there by now constructing places to live so when humans finally get there, there won't be any of that messy and immediate threat to life.

now let's say they sent up a nano factory in the guise of one nano bot onboard one of their rovers, programmed to make the next nano, and the next and when the amount of bots needed for the next stage are created, they begin to build the parts of a factory.  and this continues until they have a whole community of buildings and living quarters, energy facilities, medical facilities and so on.

nano yikes. reminds me of

Finally!  A way to contain Islam and restrict it to a dying planet!
Time is the fire in which we burn.
