I was questioning things and coloring outside the lines by the time I was 12.  My mother hated it, my dad thought I was pretty smart.  I spent hours in bbookstores and libraries.  Mostly bookstores because some of what I wanted to find was just not proper for the school library or the city library.  It wasn't even porn!  It just wasn't mainstream.  It was going to corrupt my poor widdle puddin head.

clink glasses with ya, Shasta... old libraries and old books hold secrets worth looking for

the way I learnt what to avoid in the dark occult was reading about it..
the knowledge  didn't corrupt my brain
..but it did give me a good strong idea of how belief and or curiosity could take you down different roads.  .some roads that would take you where you originally had no intention of going

sinny I don't understand your comment at all. :(

Looking at some old books picked up from an estate sale,
checking the value on Abes Books to see how much
profit I will make from them.

Right now I'm wishing I had some pain medication.  I ruptured my right bicepital tendon and tore the biceps loose from the shoulder.  My shoulder feels like it's full of ground glass.  Guys, if any of you ever thought about carrying a purse, don't.  I did this trying to get mine from the backseat, while in the pickup line at the school.  Although, to be fair, the previous injuries over the years, that were not purse related, probably didn't help.

Ow that sounds bad Shasta, healing vibes coming your way :) I once tore a shoulder ligament also, took ages to heal, i hope yours gets better faster than mine did ;)
Advice taken, i will definitely NOT consider having a purse ;D

Right now i'm relaxing with my first beer, contemplating wether to work on my new Surface Mount Device assembly table, which i need in order to clear the workbench for the super inverter, or continue reading about Alfred the great and the viking invasion of 860 A.D., or wether to post more wierd & wonderful holiday pictures, but i can do them in the weekend :D
I hear the Batcave calling me.........

I broke a my shoulder ligament the once.

In a scenario that involved the top of my shoulder banging full force off the ground taking the load of my body weight.

Snapped the large one from your neck to your shoulder clean straight into two.
I went to throw a punch immediatley after ::) and was shocked when my arm didn't complete it's command.

Hospital completely neglected me, and I took about 7 months to recover, now the ligament has reformed with my bones all in the wrong place.

I'll never forget the 3 month sensation of my bones being loose and falling around them selves.. Eehh.

Besides that, I'm just sitting around family thinking about some of the members we have lost... and some of the things I've gained and lost this year.

Time and space are odd things, the past is but a memory, the future is but a thought.... And the present is a strange place to belong...

Probably not as "crazy mixed up" as this world will become, likely more sooner than later!  :( :)

'the universe is actually more crazy than even a crazy person could imagine'
Probably the most sensible thing i ever said in a live radio interview ::) :-[ :P

Right now i am enjoying the humour of the situation, and thinking that if i still have the time to do this, and the money for beer & smokes, then life isn't SO bad after all.......... ;)

Shasta56

But if you quit smoking, you would have more money for other things.  That argument doesn't work on my husband either.
