4100 people died from AIDS today.

yeah I forgot about that one... seems the early rumors told us that was leaked deliberately by a lab to'take out' certain profiled people. Seems they didn't think it would come back and bite them

...seems that is like the energizer Bunny... still going...

AIDS: 'The Manufactured Virus'
http://www.apfn.org/apfn/aids.htm

Heck even Wikipedia did a page on AIDS origin conspiracies...

In 2005, an anonymous survey was conducted among 71 African Americans in the United States to measure belief in prevalent conspiracy theories regarding HIV and AIDS. The survey found that the majority somewhat or strongly believed that "a lot of information about AIDS is being withheld from the public" and over half somewhat or strongly believed that "there is a cure for AIDS, but it is being withheld." Almost 60% disagreed that, "the government is telling the truth about AIDS." Over 40% somewhat or strongly agreed that, "people who take the new medicines for HIV are human guinea pigs for the government."[23] According to Phil Wilson, executive director of the Black AIDS Institute in Los Angeles, conspiracy theories are becoming a barrier to the prevention of AIDS since people start to believe that no matter what the measures they take are, they can still be prone to contracting this disease. This makes them less careful when engaging in practices that put them at risk because they believe there is no point.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discredited_HIV/AIDS_origins_theories

Purported intentional creation

These theories generally attribute HIV's origin to the US government or its contractors.

1) Jakob Segal (1911–1995), a professor at Humboldt University in then-East Germany, proposed that HIV was engineered at a U.S. military laboratory at Fort Detrick, by splicing together two other viruses, Visna and HTLV-1. According to his theory, the new virus, created between 1977 and 1978, was tested on prison inmates who had volunteered for the experiment in exchange for early release. He further suggested that it was through these prisoners that the virus was spread to the population at large. After the end of the cold war, however, the former KGB agents Wassili Nikititsch Mitrochin and Oleg Gordijewski revealed independently of each other that the Fort Detrick hypothesis was a propaganda operation devised by the KGB's First Chief Directorate under the codename "infektion". Later it was also supported by the section X of East Germany's Hauptverwaltung Aufklärung as admitted by its officer Günther Bohnensack. It is not entirely clear whether Segal pursued the hypothesis independently on his own accord or whether he was simply following orders. Segal himself always denied the latter and kept pursuing the hypothesis even after the operation had been canceled and the Cold War had ended. It is known that Segal was in close contact with Russian KGB officers and Mitrochin mentioned him as a central asset of the operation.
Various theories have been advanced regarding a "racist" or "genocidal" motivation for the purported creation of HIV. Some theorists also attribute a homophobic element to the conspiracy. These views have sometimes been endorsed by prominent individuals and organizations.

2) In the mid 1980s, the dermatologist Alan Cantwell (see above) included the possibility of a deliberate anti-gay agenda in his theory that the HIV/AIDS epidemic originated with the hepatitis B vaccine in New York City.

3) In Behold a Pale Horse (1991), radio broadcaster and author Milton William Cooper (1943–2001) proposed that AIDS was the result of a conspiracy to decrease the populations of blacks, Hispanics, and homosexuals.

4) In 2000 South Africa's Minister of Health Manto Tshabalala-Msimang received criticism for distributing the chapter from Cooper's book discussing this theory to senior South African government officials. Nicoli Nattrass, a longtime critic of AIDS denialists, criticized Tshabalala-Msimang for lending legitimacy to Cooper's theories and disseminating them in Africa.

5) The dentist and entrepreneur Leonard G. Horowitz, author of the self-published works Emerging Viruses: AIDS & Ebola. Nature, Accident or Intentional? (1996) and Death in the Air: Globalism, Terrorism and Toxic Warfare (2001), advanced the theory that the AIDS virus was engineered by such U.S. Government defense contractors as Litton Bionetics for the purposes of bio-warfare and "population control". He believes that HIV was deliberately designed in a US military lab in the 1970s for use as a genocidal weapon.

6) The Nation of Islam endorses the view that governments and pharmaceutical companies have pursued genocidal racist policies including the creation and spread of HIV. Consequently, the group called for a boycott of U.S.-sponsored vaccination programs for children. Leonard Horowitz has been cited as influential in the NoI boycott decision.

7) In 2008, the controversial Reverend Jeremiah Wright cited Leonard Horowitz in support of his view that the U.S. government invented HIV as a means of genocide against black people.

8) The 2004 Nobel Peace Prize laureate and environmental activist Wangari Maathai was asked by a Time magazine interviewer if she stood by a previous alleged claim that "AIDS is a biological weapon manufactured by the developed world to wipe out the black race". Maathai responded, "I have no idea who created AIDS and whether it is a biological agent or not. But I do know things like that don't come from the moon. (...) I guess there is some truth that must not be too exposed." Maathai subsequently issued a written statement in December 2004: "I neither say nor believe that the virus was developed by white people or white powers in order to destroy the African people. Such views are wicked and destructive."

Well at least it DIDN'T come from the Moon   :P

I recall reading a quote from a Soviet intelligence officer during the good old days. He said something like: "At one point, we just waited to see if America invented it instead of relying on our Scientists for analysis. It wasn't possible unless the west invented it"

Well wait till DARPA perfects that human/computer direct interface.  Then they can download a virus directly into your brain... and the first to be hit will be all the Twitter heads and Facebook Yahoos that are online 24/7

The history of brain–computer interfaces (BCIs) starts with Hans Berger's discovery of the electrical activity of the human brain and the development of electroencephalography (EEG). In 1924 Berger was the first to record human brain activity by means of EEG. Berger was able to identify oscillatory activity in the brain by analyzing EEG traces. One wave he identified was the alpha wave (8–13 Hz), also known as Berger's wave.

Research on BCIs began in the 1970s at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) under a grant from the National Science Foundation, followed by a contract from DARPA. The papers published after this research also mark the first appearance of the expression brain–computer interface in scientific literature.

How much of the public is actually scared of Ebola? Other than the conspiracy crowd and the farcebook/twatter crowd of those that have no jobs and sit on the social networks all day sharing and tweeting doom porn?

Idk... How was the rate of the advertisement in your TV?

No Ebola in Portugal, but we already have 9 deaths from legionnaire's disease, apparently caused by a some factory's cooling tower.
That reminds me of the year after the non-existing flu pandemic some years ago, at the end of that year on pharmaceutical company (I don't remember which one) had much smaller profits than expected because they couldn't sell their flu vaccines, as nobody cared about that any more.

Well, i still see in present day MSM talking about the efforts on the ebola vaccines, last one was from germany (in cable news TV, dinner time because its the only time in the day i watch that s***)

BILL GATES WANTS TO DECREASE WORLD'S POPULATION THROUGH VACCINATIONS

QuoteWhen Bill Gates, founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which provides vaccines to third world countries, promoted decreasing the   population of the world and favoring the 'death panel', it shocked many people. Bill Gates believes that "instead of spending millions of dollars on old people who just have months to live, the money should be spent elsewhere, where it can actually benefit people".

Two years ago, the Microsoft billionaire, unveiled his mission to reduce the world's population through vaccines during a TEDx presentation. As Gates rambles on about CO2 emissions, and its effects on climate change, he injects without pause, that in order to get CO2 to zero, "probably one of these numbers is going to have to get pretty close to zero." He then goes on to describe how the first number, P (for People) might be reduced.

"The world today has 6.8 billion people", said Gates, "that's headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent."

Bioweapons Expert Reaffirms Belief that Ebola Escaped from a Biowarfare Lab

QuoteDoes DNA Sequencing Show that Ebola Is Naturally-Occurring?

In response to bioweapons expert's Dr. Francis Boyle's conviction that this strain of Ebola escaped from a biowarfare laboratory in West Africa,  Empty Wheel's Jim White argues that DNA sequencing shows that Ebola is naturally occurring.

Dr. Boyle sent us the following email, responding to White's critique:

1.The primary problem with this entire Harvard study is this: These results they admit  come out of the  Kenema BSL4 Lab itself which was up to its eyeballs in doing this dirty biowarfare work there  before it was shut down. So they  did this work and then shut down the lab. Dead labs tell no tales.

As I see it, the biowarriors at  BSL4 Kenema are  exonerating themselves by means of this "study." This is basically an exercise in Cover Your Biowarrior Butts.

2. If  all this transmission  has  been done by bats, then why did the US military set up their first ebola testing center in Liberia  in an abandoned lab filled with bats?

3.   "Ebola is a poor candidate for either biological warfare or terrorism, compared with viruses such as smallpox, which is highly infectious, or the hardy, easily dispersible bacteria that causes anthrax."

We have been working on ebola for biowarfare purposes since about 1977 and continuously. We have aerosolized ebola at Fort Detrick, a telltale sign of weaponization.  We have also weaponized anthrax too. And the Russians and the Americans are keeping smallpox alive for weaponization purposes as well. The USA has at least two biowarfare weapons that I know of: ebola and anthrax.  And they very well could have more. We have spent $79 billion since 9/11 on developing biowarfare weapons, billions before that, and we continue to spend billions on weaponzing more of them.

[Note from Washington's Blog:  the Army Times reportedin August: "Filoviruses like Ebola have been of interest to the Pentagon since the late 1970s, mainly because Ebola and its fellow viruses have high mortality rates ... and its stable nature in aerosol make it attractive as a potential biological weapon."]

4. "This means that these outbreaks arose from different "jumps" from the animal reservoir to the human population. The similarity between samples from the current outbreak confirm that it originated from a single jump, and since that time the disease has spread exclusively from human to human. This is different from previous outbreaks, which had spread via multiple zoonotic events."

If  there were different "jumps" then we should have seen a pattern of "jumping" ebola outbreaks continuously over time and space from Zaire in 1976 to West Africa in 2013. There is no such pattern. That's 3500 kilometers and no "jumping" ebola outbreaks.

5. Now to the Science article: "Phylogenetic comparison to all 20 genomes from earlier outbreaks suggests that the 2014 West African virus likely spread from central Africa within the past decade. Rooting the phylogeny using divergence from other ebolavirus genomes is problematic ...."

Once again, if it spread from central Africa within the past decade, we would have seen the "spread" of Ebola outbreaks during the past decade as it made its way to West Africa. We have not. And notice right out at  the outset they admit their basic methodology here is "problematic." That is precisely correct. The entire study they admit themselves is "problematic." It sure is "problematic" Basically the  US biowarriors at Kenema are covering their own rear ends. That's the problematique of this "study"—cover-up

6. "[correcting 21 likely sequencing errors in the latter ...]"

This is absolute utter bull-twaddle right there. Notice they admit that they are "fixing" their results right there. No question about it: Correcting. Yeah, correcting to produce the results that they wanted in order to cover up this entire matter.

They admit right here at the beginning of the study that they fixed the results and that their methodology is "problematic". The rest is pure and utter bull-twaddle based upon fixed results and a problematic methodology. It would be a waste of my time to continue analyzing an article based upon admittedly fixed results with an admittedly "problematic" methodology.

Isn't it interesting that now U.S. government is fully engaged in the fight with Ebola, the almost daily news stories about its continued advances of Ebola have almost stopped?? I wonder why?? Are we now suppressing the horrible facts of what is continuing to happen in the most affected countries simply so that we the people won't be concerned about it?? Crazy!!

Ebola death toll rises to 4,950 - WHO

Reuters:

GENEVA (Reuters) - The death toll from the Ebola epidemic has risen to 4,950 out of 13,241 cases in the three worst-hit countries of West Africa, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday, calling for widespread rigorous control measures to halt the virus.

"Case incidence is declining in some districts in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, while steep rises persist in other districts," the United Nations agency said in a statement with its latest figures to Nov. 4.

http://news.yahoo.com/ebola-death-toll-rises-4-950-080259122.html

I posted the above on November 8, 2014. There still seems to be reason to assume that the Ebola subject has pretty much been stopped/banned on the general public news, except for a dying doctor here or there. So, I took the time to research a little, and what I found is:

Geneva, Dec 16: The World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed that 6,841 people have been killed by the Ebola virus disease so far since its outbreak. 'A total of 18,464 confirmed, suspected cases of Ebola virus disease (EVD) have been reported in five affected countries (Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Sierra Leone, and the US) and three previously affected countries (Nigeria, Senegal and Spain) as of Dec 14. There have been 6,841 reported deaths,' the WHO's report said Monday.

Well, I guess since the latest number only represents an increase of 38% (1,891) in total Ebola deaths during the past month, it must not be newsworthy!! Also, it should be noted that "suspected cases" has risen in total number by 5,223 (39%) during the same period.
