Emergency Manager Calls Federal Ebola Response a Stand Down

The numerous violations of disease protocol surrounding the Dallas, Texas Ebola case are intentional, according to an emergency response manager.
The manager, who was involved in the emergency response to both Hurricane Katrina and Rita in addition to planning for small pox outbreaks, said the official response to the first diagnosed case of Ebola in the United States purposely avoided the basic actions the government would take to prevent a virus from spreading.

"The reason I know the Ebola outbreak is being conducted on purpose is because it violates all protocol," he said.

The violations of protocol are almost too numerous to mention. For one thing, government officials were slow to decontaminate the apartment of Thomas Eric Duncan, the 40-year-old Liberian national who was the first diagnosed case of Ebola in the U.S.

Before the apartment was sanitized, however, five Dallas Co. sheriff's deputies were ordered to enter the unit without protective gear to remove Duncan's family members who were placed under quarantine.

Dallas Co. Sheriff's Association President Christopher Dyer said the deputies were uncomfortable with the order.

"They're very concerned," Dyer said to WFAA 8. ?"Their families are concerned. You've got to go home and tell your spouse, 'Hey, I was just inside this house where a guy had Ebola.'"

The workers who were ordered to clean the sidewalk where Duncan vomited were also not wearing protective clothing, despite the fact that Ebola spreads through bodily fluids.

And, like Duncan's apartment, officials were slow to decontaminate the ambulance which transported Duncan to the hospital, meaning that the homeless man who was transported in the ambulance after Duncan was potentially exposed to the disease.

The Obama administration also refused to ban travelers from Ebola-stricken African nations from entering the U.S., which allowed Duncan to fly to Dallas.

"The fact that [Ebola] being allowed to travel into the United States is insane and the fact that emergency operations have not been activated is insane and this is on purpose and by design," the emergency response manager stated. "There are many competent people in the CDC, the military and emergency management officers who need to blow the whistle."

If I might add something to this.....and Amaterasu, it may be worth looking more into if you're interested in finding truth by digging.

The U.S. Government DID, as a simple fact, issue requests for bids to establish medical evacuation capability/network across North Central Africa and the list of nations focused on Eastern, as I recall, but covered across to water on the other side. I wrote about it At anoTher Site quite some time back, as in a good couple years now I'd think. At the time, it was a real mystery because the US hadn't started breaking all rules yet for just doing things however it wanted, regardless of allied considerations.

The need was unspecified US operations and what I believe were the limited number of jump bases going in at that time for the great Kony hunt with his little army of blood thirsty maniacs. That spanned nations anyway, so it had some context.

Now I'm thinking back on that and may actually wander back to look that thread up again. The bidding had been on the usual Government services site that carries all of it. To consider it now, it was a real handy piece of foresight there....and one wouldn't need to lab-modify or originally make Ebola to fully exploit or (scary version) help along a spread.... Although that last part is getting into Tom Clancy novels (literally, as it happens).

There are similar symptoms to radiation sickness.  The type of blistering similar to that with Ebola would only come from very direct contact with a source of radiation though.  Normally a reddening like sunburn is what you will see.

Don't forget though, in serious cases of viral infection the immune system and other vital functions are compromised.  Although the cause is different with radiation, many symptoms are the same.

It would be worth looking at the areas of highest Ebola infection to see if there are nuclear facilities in the area if you think there is a link.

This fact directly confirms that the United States has no real cure for Ebole either. If the disease does make inroads in this country, people are going to die!!! The claimed "zero possibility" is out the window!!

If this country continues to allow people to come into this country from the known disease stricken areas of the world, then we should just know that American citizens - ie "us" - could become infected and will likely die (50% +/- chance of dying).

The Liberian man diagnosed with Ebola last month just days after arriving in Texas has died after nearly two weeks in a Dallas hospital's isolation room, officials confirmed.

Thomas Eric Duncan, believed to be 42,  who became the first person diagnosed with the killer virus on American soil during the current pandemic, died early Wednesday after a battle that sparked a national debate on screening of visitors from West Africa, which has been ravaged by the disease. His death came a day after officials began treating him with an experimental drug and days after he had taken a dramatic turn for the worse.

Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian national, had been placed on a ventilator and kidney dialysis after his health declined over the weekend.

"It is with profound sadness and heartfelt disappointment that we must inform you of the death of Thomas Eric Duncan this morning at 7:51 a.m.," a spokesman from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital said in a statement.

Mr. Duncan succumbed to an insidious disease, Ebola. He fought courageously in this battle. Our professionals, the doctors and nurses in the unit, as well as the entire Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas community, are also grieving his passing. We have offered the family our support and condolences at this difficult time," the statement said.

From what I have read over the last couple days, the new wonder drug for Ebola ran out as quick as they could use it for the couple people that ever saw any of it. What has been said about it, indicated that was an early stage intervention anyway, right? So why waste what is truly precious right now, on someone in the final terminal phase of it? I swear sometimes, our obsession with 'all for one' in doing almost anything, at near any cost to save single lives will be the end of us some day. That takes on new meaning for this I suppose.

Anyway..the stories have noted 10-20 treatment courses grown and available by January and then the same number on a monthly basis after that. As I gather, 'treatment courses' refers to the drug required for a single patient to go through the process. Ummm...reports in Liberia are counting more bodies than monthly doses projected to be produced.....on a daily basis. I am sure I don't want to ask what the cost of one of the 10-20 monthly shots at survival within a deadly epidemic are going to cost the lucky few.

....As an alternative thought? We've all been discussing things like the Executive Orders making the takeover of entire national sectors of the economy and industry possible with no more than a literal stroke of a pen over an ongoing national emergency, and we've been talking about that for years. So....what gives with 10-20 courses a MONTH as the projected total to be in the pipeline going well forward of the first batch?

If this is grown and dependent on Tobacco plants? Fine.. Smokers, go roll your own for awhile. Uncle needs to commandeer those crops for re-focus to drug producing stock. Even that may not make enough....but going half way on this may well make people in Africa near murderous with rage. (We COULD cure some more......but, see...we choose not to. Err.... I'm glad I don't have to explain THAT one, over there).

LAS VEGAS -- 8 News NOW is investigating reports that a plane headed to Las Vegas from New York City is now quarantined at the airport.

There is no information from the Southern Nevada Health District or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; however, there are people on the plane reporting that they are quarantined on the tarmac and there is word that two passengers from Africa are reporting that they are sick.

Peter Beter got wind of the H1N1 virus in the 1970's and tried warning us this was a huge and imminent threat to national security (actual national security), he was called a fear monger and conspiracy theorist after his death, because H1N1 was not unleashed upon the world. He also informed the American Public of the looting of Fort Nox, informed us of the international infiltration of the American services, the planned collapse of the dollar, and he warned of the imminent danger of new and exotic weapons that were being implemented on the world population.
