Google chrome seems to be offering to ask do you want to save your password.

I am sorry to say that I have been using  Google Chrome on and off in the last few weeks as I was having an issue with my computer performance and Google Chrome seems to run better...at least for the time being.

I have just noticed when using it , if I go into my yahoo email, I get a message asking me if I want to GC to save my password for me...NOT just yahoo...
where you can tick a box as an option...

With GC... a box drops down and you can accept or decline...but it seems more in your face and to me seems more likely to get people to accept...

If so is this an newer easier way for google to obtain our passwords ???

Either that or someones planted some spy software on my machine ...

I am just curious if anyone else had noticed it ? or just me..!

I use google chrome a lot and also IE sometimes.  I have it save my passwords on some sites depending on what site or forum I am entering.  If I don't save it on GC...it will ask me the next time.  I don't save passwords to sensitive sites.

I have been using CG on and off for some time...

but I have only this week noticed it creating a drop box asking me do I want to save my password...

Had you seen this for sometime or also just recently..  It maybe also be an update that maybe I did not have..or I may have clicked on something accidently and now it appears..

I agree though its not wise to save PWs on certain sites...especially google... but its advantage is it saves a lot of messing or trying to recall PWs if one has not been in certain accounts for a while...

I have seen it since using GC for quite some time.

I have been using Chrome since it went public, it has always asked me to save my passwords, its much more "easy" to browse that way. Its the same as the auto fill feature, you know the one that remembers your account name, or your email adress, or you street.

The thing is, when you admit to using chrome the last thing you should be thinking about is privacy, your embedded with the devil. If you want to safe anonymous and leave little to no trace you should be using TOR( but I'v heard rumors its been compromised aswell ) oh and TOR is sloooo.... ..oow.

Personally I think chrome is the best browser there is, it has numerous updates a week and your always "surfing" the web with the latest improvements.
But even with all the addons you can instal,l chrome gathers probably the most personal information then any other browser.

I've used Chrome for a long time...I like its ease, look, and feel. However a few months ago, i made the mistake of updating Java after not updating in awhile...
The Chrome slowed down considerable and would take forever to load and would perform poorly...so  i switched back to IE which is not my favorite browser...after finally becoming use to IE...
I decided to 'facetime' my son in Mass. he uses Google talk...so I installed that and reloaded Chrome....

Well now Chrome works fine again after a fresh install....so this is just a tale in the browser wars....take your poison....:)

I appreciate  your feedback..

To now that its not just something that they have started to do in the last week is some comfort to me...
as well as reading what your thoughts and experiences have been in using GC..

Many thanks..
