Traditional Algerian Berber Dress... before the world went dark

The white and colorful ones are beautiful!
The dark one, not so much.

Where did the darkness originate from?

So, what's the traditional Berber dress now?  ::)

Beautiful dress, and still modest.  I don't understand the mentality of not allowing the beauty of a woman to shine through.
Time is the fire in which we burn.

The one on the right... current Moroccan Berber attire that is allowed   The one on the left full veil

The one in the middle is Turkish style Istanbul still allows leeway :D

The one on the left is Shareem the one on the right is Yashara

One of my favorites was always Karima :D

All three were our teachers.

With the current situation I may have to rethink the Middle Eastern section of the proposed theme park. That would be a pity though but current tensions might be a factor

People say the Shah of Iran was a bad guy  an American Puppet... that may be but the Iranian people had freedom to be themselves

Fortunately out west here we can still enjoy the dance without the baddies ruining the day

Okay I know how to fix it LOL make it Arabian Nights Theme  that will sell better anyway

I saw some images showing Berbers from Morocco some months ago and the dresses didn't look like that.

As long as they did as the Shah wanted, otherwise they would be arrested by the secret police and tortured, but that's OK, because he was an American puppet.  ::)

The UK had its hand in that as well, as it still does.

I know America bashing is more popular though.

( not saying this about you ArMaP )

And...how seperate is the U.S. and the U.K anywho? Some say
we never really escaped entirely.

Just because someone did something wrong once doesn't mean you can do it also.

Brazil was not conquered, as there wasn't any war between the natives and the occupiers.

At the time the Portuguese and the Spanish occupied most of Africa and the Americas they didn't brag about "human rights" and "democracy".

And what you wrote is a lie, as the people didn't have freedom to be themselves.
