More Mars Oddities

Putting these here as a group for holding until I have time to make the webpages. Feel free to source the originals and fill in blanks in the meantime :D

Has Curiosity found a ball on Mars? No, but, you know...

Bizarre Things Spotted on Mars: Ball, Traffic Lights, Faces, Finger and Huge Penis

I already did the Happy Face :P

Have the Martians been practising for the Ryder Cup? A camera on Nasa's Curiosity rover photographed a spherical rock on the surface of the red planet(Nasa/JPL-Caltech/MSSS)

Traffic lights on Mars, as captured by Nasa's Curiosity rover(Nasa/JPL-Caltech/MSSS)

In 2007, Nasa's Mars Exploration Rover Spirit captured this famous image of the figure of a woman sitting on the Red Planet. The Internet, predictably, went ballistic. Just a rock, said Nasa(Nasa)

I think I did a page on that one but need to check Might have only been on ATS

An eagle-eyed space enthusiast, poring over Curiosity images, spotted this rat. Or lizard. Or rat-lizard. Some people suggested it was the result of Nasa experimentation on the Red Planet. Others suggested some people should step away from the computer(Nasa)

OK, this one really does look like a bone on the surface of Mars (if not the fossilised dinosaur thigh bone imagined by some over-eager Mars fans)(Nasa)

A rock that looked like an iguana was spotted by Curiosity in January 2013(Nasa)

A discarded World War Two military helmet on the surface of Mars?(Nasa)

A finger, complete with fingernail?(Nasa)

All the pictures I have seen have some sort of anomalies in them.  I'm no expert but it sure looks like there was civilization there before.  I don't know but it sure makes for interesting speculation...that's for sure.  Either that or we are the receivers of an elaborate hoax by NASA.  I don't know what to think.  I have seen a lot of geometric shapes that raised my eyebrows quite a few times.
From the past into the future any way I can...Educating...informing....guiding.

Thing is before NASA and mainstream said we were all nuts... and that Mars was dry and dead and dark red skies...

Now suddenly with curiosity NASA gave up on the dark red look,  announced that Methane is abundant and recurring and there was an ocean of water.  We already knew this :P but now they admit it

Also main stream is now covering the anomalies.  I know what the ball is in this case but ANYONE can clearly see these anomalies  Not the blurry rocks of the past :D

The one I am most interested in is the bone. Haven't had a good fossil for some time because people stopped looking at the rover images. Mike Singh and Exhuberant1 just fell of the planet  so we have been in limbo and no longer on the cutting edge

I look at what seems to be a bone and then look at the area around it and it looks like something deteriorated...maybe part of some sort of creature!  Funny that  the area has that real fine sandy look just in that area.  Hmmmmmm

If I'm not mistaken, what we see is the result of Curiosity's wheels revolving the ground on that area.

I have to check. :)

The "woman" appears in several photos from four different filters and three cameras.

(as this camera has a different lens objects appear much smaller than on the photos from the Panoramic camera, I don't remember where the "woman" is in these photos)

yes, after looking at the detail Rover photos sometime back, it was my opinion that what we see here in the so called "female statue" is likely simply a rock blackened by a shadow on its seeable face.

Now, the reaaaaaaaaal anomaly in this pic is standing to the rear of the statue of discussion - it is peering at the camera while standing behind a cliff outcropping, and is dressed in what could be a suit and tie. We can only see it about from mid-chest up.   ;)  :))
