A ride over the Ko'olau Saddles

Having lived in Hawaii for several years in my younger days, I consider it my home away from home, and get quite a tinge of homesickness watching the surfing championships each year.

Anyway thought i'd share this video I found showing some of the great scenery taken from an ultra light flight over the saddles.

My grandson has some Ko'olau basalt.  It belonged to TTBrown, and came our way via Andrew Bolland when he wanted to get rid of it.  My miner friend, Bob, RIP, got Donovan interested in rocks and minerals.   They can't compete with Poker On and Minecraft, but he was able to do a really nice science fair project a couple of years ago on fluorescent rocks and minerals.   He even included uranium.
