The monkey above with the bad hair.....I have looked like that in the am a few times.   Too funny.

Micjer, I used to look like that but now I'm bald. :)

Thought this was a bit of a crazy one!

Zorgon great pics mate - wouldn't say this is a favourite but it's certainly a bit of a moving one.

QuoteChimps Mourn The Death Of Their Own

QuoteThis photo, taken a year ago at Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Center in Cameroon, Africa, shows a line of chimpanzees watching as veterinarian Sheri Speede, of Beaverton, and rescue worker Assou Francois move the body of Dorothy, a chimp who died of heart failure.

This quote from the lady who took the photograph just about sums things up.

Quote"I cannot emphasise enough how silent and still they were. Chimpanzees are typically not like that. They are loud, with short attention spans. It was unbelievably emotional. We were all struck."

Monica Szczupider, Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Centre, Cameroon.

Cheers.

Is it just me or is something not right here?  Are these not ducks?  (note webbed feet)

What are they doing in a bird house anyways?   I would say that they have been thrown out of the boarding house!!!!  Their wings have not developed enought to fly but they could sure paddle if they landed in water.

Hola Micjer and I hope they haven't been thrown out of the boarding house mate! Said on the post at the website they were baby geese taking their first outing so I don't know but you do make a very good point about the wings.

On a different note I found this pic but don't know what it is of -can anyone help?

Cheers!

Very weird volcanic ash cloud. Add that to the weird sunset pic that Sky Otter took I would say SOMEONE is messing with the Matrix

sky otter

good grief you guys

those are wood ducks.. and that's what they do..
the duck lay the eggs in elevated nests to keep them from predators
that's a great shot..especially with the shadow

maybe this will work for ya

i didn't know what the heck the ash plume was though...sigh ::)

robomont

i agree with sky.
they can perch on limbs with them feet.
i had a hawk stalking six in my back yard last week.
chased him off but ducks flew off too.
ive never been much for rules.
being me has its priviledges.

Well there you go.  Thanks for straightening us out.  Brave little guys jumping out without any wing support!

Zorgon, my first thoughts were that as well mate and it's certainly a very strange pic - that must have been one mindbogglingly large eruption.   :o

Cheers.

Interesting thread but to be honest,  the older I get the less enamored I am of PhotoShopped pics.

Man can't leave well enough alone.  He always has to mess with things. I guess I'm ready to leave the planet.
