Strange ‘figure’ spotted by Mars Curiosity Rover

Well, this is something I first saw on Fox News today - another one of the "what is it" statue/human-look-like figures on Mars. This time, it is another female look-like. While the position of the figure doesn't make a lot of sense on what looks like barren waste sandy desert, there certainly is an object there that simply has that look"! :) I did not put a locator ring on this, as it is just too easy to see this anomalous "pretty" in the pic! ;)

I will post an image, and a link to the NASA Rover Curiosity photo.

***Looking at the NASA photo a little more, gives me reason for question---behind the female figure, we can see what looks like some sort of photo splicing line from top to bottom. Well, in my view, the larger rock to the rear of her, and to our left of that line, has an appearance of having been added. For sure, it could be natural, but there is nothing to the left of that line that coincides with that big rock feature. And, when we look over this complete pic, there is not another rock face that even looks close to it??

And here is the same figure with a little different look, in a different mast cam pic. This figure has a little more of the look of a male, but...?? :)

that was all Mario's doings :D

good one though, aliens ghosts on mars hits the mind from two fronts

so you think its spliced in? this whole picture set from sol1 to now is malarkey.. I often wonder that too.. the anomalies started getting cheesy sometimes, like someone's having a chuckle in the interim, maybe a.i artist or some Photoshop sweat shop somewhere, who knows :D

ide put up some of the initial blow ups of it , but, well, I've nowhere to upload them to

funbox, I wouldn't even use a third party image place for a good while - just another place to have some of our data. But, because there is little image posting storage capability here, then on the basis of someone else's suggestion, I tried http://postimage.org  . I have been using it now for a couple of years, and it works well for me. I guess you know that there is an insert image button as one of the posting options here, right next to the youtube button. When you upload an image to postimage.com, you will get several links - the one titled "direct link" is the one I choose to copy paste to "image" brackets on a post here. And using post image to get your image is easy - just select "browse", choose the image you want to upload, and then hit the upload button. If one goes to the post image site, it really is pretty simple!

Hey all, as I look at the OP pic(s), I do see something else that appears a little odd. As this "figure" just stands there, notice that running in front of the figure, along side the figure, and behind the figure, are continuing prints in the sand that look like tracks - HUH?? Yes, it is a mixture of what looks like tracks, and I am assuming that Rover Curiosity did not drive up or down that hill of sand!

Does anyone have any ideas about these imprints in the sand? One could be that this place where this individual is standing is on a public transportation route, and the tracks are from previous passes, and this individual is just waiting to catch a ride!! :)) Or, maybe someone else has already sold mining operations claims on Mars, and thus the resulting tracks!! :))

Note that the pic with the darker contrast shows the tracks more clearly, but we can also see them in the other pic too!

WHY THESE TRACKS??

It seems that we debunked this 'anomaly' a while back.

What appears to be a figure is actually the slide marks of the piece of the cliff above that broke off and slide down...her 'feet' are standing on the part that fell.

a ghost on mars is really pushing the limits for some , some talk of ancient wars , who would have thought the spirits of the female it-tribes could be so fruity

one of my favourite perio's :)

For me, "slide marks would be a stretch, but so would most anything else, pro or con! I would think that "slide marks" in the sand would still be sand colored marks in the sand, as are other "marks" in this same sand, rather than be "dark marks"?? And I just do not see anything that looks like slide marks - of course that doesn't mean they aren't there, I just don't see it in the pics. :)

for all intents and purposes the picture may as well be inside a church, the look and feel of the picture has the same transparent feature's of your classic ghost picture

sames's and similar's within the environment point to probable causes sometimes, but in this instance I see no others in an environment that seems a little hilly and conducive to such slides

maybe a 'one off' for the camera :D
