WOW! What IS HAPPENING NEAR CHILI??

In the past 24 hours, there have been 48 Earthquakes near Chili, with the largest being 8.3 magnitude. one being 7.0, and 6 ranging from 6.1 to 6.7!! Most of these have been some distance "offshore", but that is a lot of "shaking goin on"!!

At some point, one might think that so much movement in one area could lead to a domino effect up and down the fault lines! I will post a screenshot of  "most" of the quakes of the past 24 hours, and the link to the USGS Earthquake site.

We now have a AP news report that gives us some detail relative to the major quake and its destructive damage - at least eight are known killed.

8.3-MAGNITUDE QUAKE RATTLES NORTH CHILE, 1 MILLION EVACUATE

ILLAPEL, Chile (AP) -- Thousands of residents of this small city in northern Chile were sleeping outside Thursday after a powerful earthquake destroyed their homes, forced more than 1 million to evacuate and killed at least eight people in the quake-prone South American nation.

Several coastal towns were flooded from small tsunami waves set off by late Wednesday's quake, which shook the Earth so strongly that rumbles were felt across South America.

The magnitude-8.3 quake lasted for three minutes, causing buildings to sway in the capital, Santiago, and prompting authorities to issue a tsunami warning for the Andean nation's entire Pacific coast. People sought safety in the streets of inland cities, while others along the shore took to their cars to race to higher ground.

"I thought it was the end of the world and we were going to die," said teary-eyed Manuel Moya, 38, sleeping with his wife on the ground outside their destroyed home in Illapel, 175 miles (280 kilometers) north of Santiago and 34 miles (55 kilometers) east of the quake's epicenter. The town and surrounding areas have about 35,000 residents.

Moya said he and his wife were in bed and watching television when the quake hit. Fearing they would be killed if they remained inside, they ran outside in their underwear. By the end of the shaking, their home, made of concrete, had been reduced to rubble.

"They said it was a magnitude 8 but it felt like a 10," said Moya, adding that neighbors had brought them clothes.

Speaking to the nation late Wednesday, President Michelle Bachelet urged people who had been evacuated to stay on high ground until authorities could evaluate the situation. Officials said schools would be closed in most of the country Thursday.

That is an amzingly small number of deaths...

What is also interesting is that ever since the Sumatra big quake and tsunami, while the Ring of Fire has been extremely active, the west coast of the USA section has been mysteriously quiet.

Maybe HAARP is doing a good job keeping that section under control

A series of noteworthy earthquakes has occurred at multiple locations around the Pacific Plate, also reaching across the United States at a series of Dormant Volcanoes, and fracking operations.

Thor, that is an interesting video piece. This guy really seems to spend a lot of time working with the details relative to earthquakes and volcanos. Seems that the earthquakes are becoming more frequent, according to what he says!

And pull up a report for any region any date and see just how many earthquakes happen DAILY on regular locations like the active Ring of Fire

We only hit the panic button whenever there is a big one 

Now IRIS doesn't bother with any EQ's less than 4.0  (too small to worry about )

But lets take Honshu as an example.  That is the location of that Big One in Japan...  few people realize that there have been several quakes PER DAY ever since that big one...

Her is the last 30 days for just in and around the Honshu region. I see several at 5.0 and higher

That is pretty much a daily occurrance since I looked at IRIS in 2006   I believe that is why they call it "The RING of FIRE"

What we need is someone like True American from ATS who can predict them like he did the Japanese big one

dutchsinse once started screaming VOLCANO in CALIFORNIA!!!No one saw any volcano, turns out that one was some military explosives testing at 9 Palms. I pointed that out  he blocked me


When the ground shakes  volcanoes wake up as they sit on the faults. Move the fault and the cork pops

What is REALLY INTERESTING to me is that the West Coast of the USA, which completes the circle of the ring of fire... has been QUIET for years.  We SHOULD have seen a big one... but so dfar nothing

Maybe HAARP has been working hard to counteract EQ waves in that regions   (Yes that is something HAARP could do and within range)  Opposite waves of the same intensity will cancel each other out (or amplify them depending on the frequency)




As for the USA... unless your counting the thousands of small below 4.0 tremors there have only been a few of note
