Vatican police
I don't think the Vatican police does body guard service for the Pope outside the Vatican.

ArMaP

really .. you didn't see the sentence that said

QuoteMembers of the force escort the Pope whenever he leaves the Vatican, whether for one of his customary pastoral Sunday visits to some parish on Rome's outskirts or for one of his journeys by air to other continents. Vatican officials have always declined to say whether the Pope's bodyguards are armed

That seems like the First Amendment ZONE we saw them try at Bundy Ranch :P

You can see how well THAT worked by the number of people using it :P

Dear Washington (and BLM Goons) :P

And the 1st Amendment zone should also be the 2nd Amendment zone.  Looking at dictatorships in the past...those countries that had gun control could not resist tyranny and the people became subjects to the point only government thugs and criminals had guns.

Dictatorships are more the result of limiting information than the result of limiting access to guns.

When people only have access to controlled information the government can do whatever they want that they will always get the people's support.

When the people wants to revolt it's not the lack of guns that is going to stop them.

ArMap...you have your opinion and I have mine.  Our 2nd Amendment was developed by our founders in the US specifically for protection against tyranny.

Naturally. :)

My opinion is based on what I witnessed and what I was told by my family of how it was living in a fascist regime. Knowledge is the best weapon against tyranny.

Do you agree disarming the population is also a part of the establishment of a dictatorship? The arming of only your own police and military IS control.

No, the establishment of a dictatorship is independent of the disarming of the population.

It can be control, but not necessarily.

Hitler didn't confiscate guns or made it harder to have guns, the change in the law in 1938 made it easier for people to get guns and to have guns. Only the Jews were forbidden from having any kind of weapon.
