It used to be an unquestioned "fact" that Russian warplanes were inferior and unreliable. I used to read this as a regular theme on strategypage. The truth appears to be quite different and shows, once again, that neither the mainstream official media nor US intelligence cannot be trusted. 

This is a bit off topic but some Russian officials would like to see a full investigation of US claims about going to the moon. I've been surprised about the recent emergence of otherwise sane people raising doubts about NASA and what really happened on the moon.
