Alien beings could be hiding among us, according to astrobiologist Caleb Scharf.

In a video presentation for Business Insider's "Tech Insider," the director of the Columbia Astrobiology Center at Columbia University and author of "The Copernicus Complex" concedes it is impossible to know what "hyper-advanced aliens" might look like.

"But we may be able to extrapolate from our own case," he suggested, noting humans now live in a time where "increasingly we rely on . . . sophisticated machines."

Artificial intelligence and other advanced technology "may be able to become sophisticated enough" to decode what we know as life and "rebuild it in some other way."

Scharf said it is his "hunch . . . if there are truly advanced species out there in the universe, they've transitioned away from biology as we understand it into something else, something that gives them more freedom of operation."

And these beings could be so sophisticated and advanced "we would never recognize them as being of life because they might be embedded in the natural world" and "hidden away" – including as "different states of matter of somehow uploaded in electro radiation flooding through the universe."

, , , guess he hasn't read the Bible about that we were created by "aliens", but before that, they terra-formed the earth into a home for humans. tsk tsk tsk, , , ,

So Norval  Which System did these Aliens come from in your book?

Until i here otherwise,i go with each races ancient culture historical story.as far as jews,my research leads to them going to mars and then back to earth.during the little ice age.via caducius engines .imho

Not alot of facts to tie it together, just things of that time period and how human nature at that time period worked.
If you read the sumerian legends, its almost as if an 8 year old had wrote the stories.i suspect that was the level iq the smartest humans in sumer had at that time.within just a few generations though,it accelerated very fast.

It might be better to ask not which system, but which galaxy? Why would that mater to you?

Besides, it is not MY book, or document as I prefer to call those many ancient writings.

Suffice it to accept that OBVIOUSLY some one terra-formed and bio-engineered this world and all it's life forms.

IMHO this planet I call home sure didn't "just happen" to form all this life out of some "cosmic soup", and those builders obviously had great senses of humor. Look at all the different mating habits of life. ;)

okay  Which galaxy?  And if so why go so far to terraform an insignificant little rock in the middle of nowhere?

QuoteWhy would that mater to you?

If it didn't matter there would be no point having this forum and website :P

Well its certainly not mine :P You are the one supporting it that makes it 'your' book

QuoteIMHO this planet I call home sure didn't "just happen" to form all this life out of some "cosmic soup", and those builders obviously had great senses of humor. Look at all the different mating habits of life. ;)

the very fact that life is so diverse means it most likely IS just random creation from a "cosmic soup" :P  IMHO :P

Hey, I didn't say I could answer that question, but why limit yourself to our galaxy of billions of star systems, for where our creators might have come from, when there are hundreds of billions of galaxies out there to choose from that have been created?

This little "insignificant rock", as you called it, which was terra-formed to perfection for supporting the human life form, is in a very difficult location to get to, (according to that "book"). That is the why of "here". (2nd Esdras)

So, as you say, , , , , the more complex the "what ever" the easier it is to have happened by "chance"?    mmm k.   :P

That reminds me of the jet that was formed from a junk yard by a wind storm.

Oh, , sorry, that never happened, , or will it ever happen. :)

Yea no chance we here on earth just formed, maybe billions of years ago somebody somewhere merged but we are genetically too superior to have just jumped from chimp to human.i dont buy it.some genetic manipulation by a superior is a believable scenario.i think it happened at that site found last year, tepekipo or whatever its spelled.
