Sure, it's a good reason, the problem is that people must have a mobile number, and not everyone has, so they are basically ignoring all the people that do not have a mobile phone.

Might be true, but I have/had one email account, hard to access it or get the reset into it with out them having somewhere to send it to accessable by me...
after my email got plundered for the third time and all my contacts violated I just closed the account and moved to Gmail...

Yahoo got hacked and had a massive security breach; the reason they want a mobile number is for when they lock your account or you can't remember your password, they can send a temp password to get you back in your account to your phone as a text message...

Pegasus has several email accounts as each domain name registered comes with unlimited emails

So if you want an email account let me know... takes me a couple days to get around to setup but its easy enough
