I doubt it, the people is powerless, after being carefully divided. To me it looks more like they are afraid of something worse, losing money or power to a different faction.

I am caused to wonder about the nature of this factional battle.  Sometimes, people will fight over trivialities because , in their narrow, limited world, such things are all that there is to fight for (or all that there is to distinguish one faction from another).  We see this with academics, religious figures and some politicians. 

Or....

The faction in power is so deeply criminal that they are actually in terror over the spectacle of a man such as Trump and fear personal ruin.

I think the above are better choices than any Illuminati blood cult rituals, Satanism or Reptilian mind control.

The faction in power is so deeply criminal that they are actually in terror over the spectacle of a man such as Trump and fear personal ruin.

The way I see it, Trump is not a super-hero coming to save the day, in a way it's the same type of person as Putin, someone that was not really a politician and sees his position has the best way of making money. The people in power now see it and fear that the money will start (or already started) to change hands, and that while before Putin had Russia for himself and the US was divided among several large corporations the US is starting to follow in Russia's footsteps and only a handful of people will get that money.
