Starting this is very difficult.

When I was very young, I knew I was going to do something important.  I did not know what that was.  It drove Me itchy often, looking at My life as it passed by and wondering what I was supposed to do with all these data I was collecting.

I also was taught that We had the technology to extract the energy We swim in, and could control gravity.  I did not know about the impact of this until much later.

As time passed, and I moved into teenhood, I still had that burning in My mind, as the itch managed to get Me every so often despite the direction I strove to concentrate on.  And I would step back and feel frustrated.

I followed the prescribed course of getting a job and inputting My Human energy into things that "earned" My living, but really, except for the initial learning of the duty, left Me bored to tears.  EveryOne I worked with was just waiting for the weekend, as the song goes.

I went into banking, dropping out of college to get married.  This, though I waited for the weekends, was a blessing.  I got to observe this system of money from an angle many don't, and discovered that I almost knew the way it all worked, astounding the trainers in My General Ledger class by explaining things to those around Me when They didn't get it.

Through My 20's and into My 30's, I moved from banking to what I love to do:  create graphics for Others.  (And I still do graphics on request.)  It was a step down in pay to get the on-the-job training, but I knew that's what I wanted to do.

And still, that itch that I struggled with all along itched.

Through Kinko's to a contract working directly with the military - which gave further perspective in the field of data I managed to collect.  The contract ended in September of 2001, as priorities shifted.  Out into the post-911 job market this now 40-something, slightly eccentric feminine Human.

Crazy times ensued, and so did the interweb.

In 2008 I read a book called Entropy and when Jeremy made it very clear that money and all the suffering it causes on this abundant planet was accounting for Human energy expended (I got accounting tokens for the time/energy I expended into the system of money - heh, banking, yeah), and that the solution was simply to provide free energy and ensure no One feels compelled against Their will - which meant robots.  The problem always has been, at the root, how do You get People to do things They don't want to do.  And I can see We have THAT well on the way.

When it all came together, I knew what that thing was, and the itch went away.   In its place is a keen desire to do all I can to fulfill this.

I am also willing to do all that is within My ability to sustain Myself, and I do look at job after job.  I have "agents."  Every day I apply to any that I can remotely justify qualifications.  I admit to avoiding the west coast.

And so this now 50's - and heading into the latter part of that decade - woman, with a solution that has been Her drive throughout Her life, and therefore even more eccentric, seeks either a job, or a patron for Her work.

Today I burden a friend.  No more than $600 a month, I would guess.  For His support, though He struggles, I love Him dearly.  I have asked for a patron now and then on twitter, but none have stepped up.

So, if I can do it from here and it's worth $600 a month, or it's somewhere else and will "pay the bills," and I can do it, let Me know.  And if My work is important to You too, and You have $600 a month to offer, I would welcome Your patronage.

i would skip applying to dod jobs atm.  they are cutting everything back.  they have GS 5 guys doing their normal jobs plus the jobs of paygrades above them, so they are probably not hiring anybody with alot seniority.  like if you were a GS 10, for example, they'd just have the GS 10 train a GS 5 to do their job before hiring another GS 10.  this is what happens when people call for cuts in military spending.  people make less money, folks who earned their seniority don't get hired when their jobs are axed, and some GS 5 has twice the workload.

i'm pondering your situation, amy. gimme a few to think about it.

first suggestion

seasonal work.  with christmas coming up, sometimes smaller towns will have little art fairs where people can buy hand crafted christmas goods.  examples might be simple wooden houses (just a chunk of wood, cut in the shape of house with a sloped roof, painted in christmas colors that can be hung on the tree or placed underneath it or on a nearby table.

handcrafted wreaths -- go pick some evergreen branches, create wreaths with it, and add some decoration, like a bow, or just sell the wreaths as is.  check the local town and see if they have any christmas events where people sell arts and crafts.

check if there are any traveling art fairs, like renaissance festivals and see when they are in the closest town and  if they allow tables for crafted stuff. then get with zorgon as he has all kinds of renaissance festival connections, including people who might be able to work out an agreement for you to sell their stuff at a local fair for a commission.  examples are chain mail, replica swords and daggers, robes, cloaks, gowns, that kinda thing.

if you're any good at playing a musical instrument, find out the laws regarding playing instruments on a sidewalk for donations and see if you can get hired playing it for seasonal events. 

check if there are book festivals, and hawk your book at them. 

offer your services as a speaker on the subject of enki, to ufo conferences, write up a presentation and a book on the subject, put your tap book next to it on your book table and mention it during your presentation, like tellinger does.

think what the worst jobs are.  check if any are available,

offer your services as a nanny or companion for the elderly or baby sitter.  offer your services as a pet sitter.  offer to edit people's college papers for a fee.

grow bonsai trees and sell them on ebay.
those things are worth a fortune. 

paint christmas pictures on something you can find laying around in the woods, like flat smooth stones or large pieces of bark.  weave baskets from twigs and branches you might find laying around on the ground. 

start hydroponic decorative plants garden and sell the plants to local nurseries.

make your own scented cachets with christmas fragrances.   sew little pouches, fill them with something absorbent, douse the absorbent filler with a scented christmas oil, tie it up with little ribbon, sell at christmas fairs or on ebay.

offer to house sit while people are out of town.

check out what programs are available for female entrepreneurs and start a small business of some kind.

think of a fun charitable program to create, raise funds to get it started,  get it on 501 status. 

check the local good will, salvation army or other second hand store, if they are hiring. in hard times, the cheaper stuff sells best so those places are probably crazy busy

learn to recognize valuable items in yard sales.  shop the yard sales, pick up the stuff for cheap and resell on ebay or auction.

have yard sales filled with stuff you've picked up or created yourself, or both. 

restaurants are busy at christmas. see if you can get a job working as a waitress in one of the nicer restaurants (don't accept dishwasher, cook or hostess. that's a rip off. if you're friendly and personable, you will make many tips)

check catering services and wedding planners. 

events planning.  there are many christmas parties and new years parties this time of year, and they need people to coordinate the required materials.  offer your services in the local newspaper to do that, including arranging special things like santa visits or christmas foods like frosted christmas cookies or spice cakes that they pay for. you just get the stuff ordered and sent to their place. 

do you have a car or internet phone?

If My hands could stand carving for more than a few minutes, I might go for houses - I imagine a knife suitable could be laid hands upon.  Paints and brushes too, maybe.  I have none.  I know I love to carve but gave it up because My hands started hurting.  Maybe it is different now that I'm taking MSM.

I'm unsure what the property owners would think of that, and most of said around here would require some climbing.  I imagine I could get stuff to make bows, and string to bind the branches.  I have none.

My biggest problem with this (and is also a problem in others) is that I have no transportation and must rely on others.

I used to play the recorder 25-30ish years ago...  I don't presently have one.

I already have written up a presentation, in My thread, "T.A.P., You're It."  I have offered it to many and have been ignored.  No kindle to show My book on, either.

Reliable transportation would be a must for the first, not insurmountable...  Unsure where I would advertise for the latter, maybe craigslist...  And I am not sure that is something I could do very well.  What would I charge?  And is it steady?

Theres some folks on amazon selling first year pecan trees.direct nut planting.i bought one.find the hardiest of a breed that grows natural in your area.since your in georgia.may i reccomend paw paw.
Its not too late to get started if you can get ahold of the seeds.plant them in trays of soil.they will winter and then sprout in the spring.i would buy from you.if you keep your price low we could all hit amazon at once to get your ratings up and we could all give you five stars.
I know i want a hardy threesome of paw paws.they are almost extinct in my area.maybe we could all preorder so you know how many you will need.we together can get you rolling but i cant guarantee success.you can use the local dirt and not potting soil.just dont say so.say potting soil.or steralize the soil in a pressure cooker.

Uh, You do know I have physical limitations, right?  I cannot stand much more than 1/2 an hour at a time, and though that may be up from the MSM, I still have joint damage.  I have to have a sit-down job.

I do not have a vehicle.  I have skype, but it stopped connecting.  My computer is grossly infected.  I have no idea where to get the stuff for events around here (except the Wal - and I go out of My way to avoid them, and they likely don't have all I would want).

Probably have to travel 50+ miles for that.  This here is backwater.  And most churches I have worked with like things like that done by volunteers.

Few are looking for desk jobs to be filled, and I have no clue where a mall is around here.  Unless strip malls are the thing...  Could not do any of that effectively if at all.

write it.  if you want people to hire you for 600 dollars a month, it would probably be a good idea to come up with a list of things you CAN do. since you have vehicular, phone and physical limitations

I was diagnosed with a "rheumatological condition" akin to - but not - rheumatoid arthritis.  This was back in My 20's.  I have done the best I can do with diet, stretching gently, and avoiding repetitive movements of My joints, or great strain on them for more than a few seconds.

The MSM which I have been on just a few months does help, but after these years of damage, I am not one to chop wood or sweeping hallways, for that matter.

Still not clear here on the amazon thing...  "T.A.P., You're It" is an outline of a presentation that no One seems to want Me to do.  TAP is My book, acro for The Abundance Paradigm.  Which are We talking about?

Write, and create raster graphics, and edit video.  No cam, so no making vids, and if they're large, I might not have a system that can handle it.

I went out and found a bunch of telecommute jobs but They either expect You to pay Them for materials and then You have to sell the product, or require a monthly fee to apply.

Occasionally I have found telecommute jobs that require Illustrator and or InDesign along with Photoshop (of which I have a truncated version), but so far nothing that I can just apply for and do and get My accounting tokens.

but with all of your listed physical problems i think you should try to apply for ssi.. it was made for folks like you  who can't work because of those types of problems

it seems that any and all suggestions are turned down by you with one excuse or another..that doesn't sound  very much like wanting  to work to me

but if you hafta sit to work there are tons of jobs that will put you in front of a computer
..call centers for tv channels
hot lines for organizations that help others also hire the handicapped as part of their programs

if transport is a problem you may have to get a place closer to a work situation

you also have a very good line of bs..opps i mean gab.. so perhaps selling something would be right up your alley.
or working on a political campaign for someone..that is if you can expose their views and not yours  for the phone calls

it sounds harsh but it seems to me you have found your own way to get free energy
what have you offered in exchange for your keep..maybe that would be a good job chioce

we are still into exchange on this planet..be it money or barter

Other than on kindle?  It's already there on kindle.  In print?  I think for self-pub, it's minimum $600 - or could be more now - and that is basic.  For any support I think packages went as high as $3,000.

I advertised the heck out of the book I published with My ex.  Never saw a penny, and He says He got very little.

Also, all money I have is in My friend's wallet, if You catch My drift.  I have none personally to put IN an account.

I did try and get SSI, more than once.  Every time I did, and My SED rates came back normal (something the head of rheumatology at Kaiser at the time told Me is rare but not unheard of) I was "faking it."  I tried to convince Them of what the head guy had said, but none of it.

My brother was registered in some site for doing work in design, but I don't remember the site's name. There are also some of those sites for programmers (something like "rent-a-coder"), and Flash is still used by many sites.

Also, you know how to write and you do it well (despite those capital letters in strange places :P ), so you could look for work related to writing.

so if it's on kindle, does amazon allow you to sell kindle books?   

all the alternative radio stations would be interested in your book. so you would:

1. set up a credit union account

2.  set up a pay pal account

3.  set up website with link to pay pal to purchase your book, however that kindle thing works.  write a summary of your book and post it on your website as well

4. surf the web for alternative radio shows . email them with a brief introduction of yourself and brief about book, with a few talking points and a link to your website where the description and pay pal link is.

5. arrange your calendar so you don't lose track of when you are supposed to be on the show in question. 

6.  start your own blog radio show.  make a few pertinent recordings as presentations. 

7.  advertise, advertise advertise.  your time is worth money just like anyone else's.  don't live in misery if you can help it

I don't have Flash anymore...  And I guess I could write.  I have looked at places, and applied for plenty of writer jobs.  Like You point out, though, for freelance stuff, money for the finder service is an issue.

First, I have logistical issues, not "excuses."  Just so You know.

I have contacted call centers (despite HATING the telephone) and every one said They weren't hiring.  I can keep trying...

As for sales...  I LOATH sales, but could sell something.  I suppose.

And there is NO candidate that I support.  In any way.  And here in the backwaters...  And They usually have volunteers.

I do graphics on demand.

And time spent not spreading the ideas is that much slower before We are all considering them.  Just a fact.

Here are just a few thoughts;
Pursue anything and everything that others
show an interest in.

You did well on the radio, I listened to you.  :)
You have a nice voice, nice expression, use this
to your advantage in every way. A resume
is a piece of paper in a large stack, its hard
to make an impression. But a voice is
another thing altogether.

Another idea would be to take your idea of
TAP, and start making graphics for it, then
make sure where ever your TAP promotions
are there are visuals.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

One other idea, is there potential for you
to turn TAP into a futuristic game, or
a book? If so, develop your characters
to play into a fictional scenariio, develop
a story line to go with them that can
be worked into a series, perhaps a book
or a video game?

Work on graphics that could go with
either....

Just a few ideas, sorry I dont have more
to offer - one more thing it seems you like
to do online research; have you tried
contacting an agency that does
information brokering, or SEO promotions?

enki is a very popular topic with many people, not just sitchinites.  it might help to generate interest in your abundance paradigm, to write a book about enki to bring in traffic.  that way you could do the radio programs for one book, then the other.  start with the enki book, then 6 months later, the abundance book.  who was he.  what did he do.  would he approve or disapprove of the abundance paradigm and why.    etc

do a book series on the anunnaki, like sitchin did. 
this guy is doing a series on various old testament characters  (just linking this so you can see how he is promoting the books. covers are real important)

If I may ......

Forget Amazon and Kindle and all that crap ..... some books are meant to be a printed item that can be held with the hands and read at leisure ... a printed book can be referred to .. and passed around .. re-read and digested.

E-books are disposable and do not carry the same gravitas as a written book.

In my humble opinion Amaterasu .... you should print 100 rough copies of your book together with some Illustrations and cover designs .... send these copies to all the known publishers of such material and also to other writers.

At the very least you will get some guidance and feedback.

I would forget Amazon .... unless you are already a best seller your book will drown in an ocean of other books ... you need to get noticed.

Getting noticed is achieved by arousing the interest of the publishers and writers who are established in the field.

You have nothing to lose but the price of paper and postage.

Unknown...  I think Amazon has exclusive rights to kindle books.  Since there is no layout (and thus why I published kindle), They and I split royalties, and though I could list it other places, They won't get any money unless I pay for the listing.

One of the things that has kept Me from publishing in paper is I could not afford to print it out and postage to send a hard copy to the big houses - who seem to want the hard copy.  Not sure where I would get the money to print it out...

I did submit a revised edition of the novella only to Analog.  They still have it open (not rejected) last I checked (a few days ago) but it's been in for over a month.  I guess it's a good thing They still have it for consideration...

The old way to publish  You contract a publisher but you make NO money until the publisher gets paid back for the first run. A friend in France has a book out but needs to see 500 copies before he starts getting paid. ( I plan to sell some for him but they are not cheap... likely be 90.00ish) Well worth it though :D

Years ago I was told that the FASTEST way to make money is publishing small pamphlet style books  20 pages or so  an 8.5x11 page folded in half with a semi hard cover.

These print out cheap. You then buy small ads in magazines related to your material  Book sells for say 5.95ish and you can get a local print shop like OfficeMax to run off 10 at a time  They don't need a printing press so are cheap to print coalate and staple  Cost is usually around $1.00 to $1.50

My sister in Canada was in serious trouble 2 years ago when her hubby lost work and she has our mom living in the basement apt. There is money everywhere.  Look for Disney stuff...  Toys, Xmas Ornaments etc... Last year I bought a bunch at $1.00 each from a yard sale....  I had a broken set of Snow White and the Dwarfs  2 missing one... chip on ear. It IS easy... but it requires EFFORT and WORK. By the same method that YOU are expecting TAP to materialize... it works the same way  the Law of Attraction, Think and grow Rich... I will not snub my nose at it at this point

I didn't have the money to print.  I just got a printer and now can print the 178 pages (less single space), but if I want a publishing house to see it, I also need to send it out - and that is one set of 178 pages per publishing house.  Don't think there's anywhere local that could bind a book, and $10 a pop for 100 copies is $1000.  Just for binding.

When I was looking for publishers, all the houses said:  send Your manuscript, double-spaced, to [street address].  I was hoping for an online submission form - Analog changed over to online forms about a year ago...that's why I sent it to Them.  (Checked again today; My submission is still open and pending...  And it's actually been three months since I sent it.  They say 3-4 months, so I'm still hanging on that.)

There is no communism theme...  BIG difference between "From Each according to ability; to Each according to need," and "From Each according to gifts; to Each according to request."  This is abundancism, NOT a scarcity paradigm solution like communism or socialism or capitalism.

That doesn't really work...  I would have a Word file to offer.  There is no item, really.  To get it off Amazon, I have to take it off Kindle.  And all I am left with is My original Word doc.

I am very good at writing short pieces - and the novella alone took three months plus to write - and I did virtually nothing else.  But, no, I really don't have another book inside.

i think reviewing what items are good sellers for auction houses like etsy, might be a really good option for you as a supplemental .  you can research it all from your comp then surf ebay and see if someone has any of the items listed for cheap.

either way, you're gonna need a credit union account so you can actual benefit from the sales of your book. amazon ripped ya off, as far as i'm concerned

oh i was thinking on your book's website that i was hoping to create for you, that i could have a smattering of recordings of you, such as past radio interviews and what not. even if we have to link to them remotely and you could make a little recording blog, where you can record your latest thoughts on the subject. the longer you can keep a person on your site, listening to things, watching things and clicking links, the better

oh and i want to show you the most frustrating but most effective online sales technique ever.  i mean this thing will just drive you bonkers. what they do is they word the advertisement in such a way that it draws your attention. then they ask you to watch a video "that explains it all" and they say things like "you will be so shocked" and "this is what the government is hiding from people" and "how to stick it to your utility company" and so on and so on.  it's usually voiced by some professional, who draws pictures on a white board while he's talking. 

now i'm not say you should do this cause it pisses people off, even if it does manage to sell the products its hyping.  but this is just an example of where, even the simplest presentation, done wisely, can be successful

Average at 5 hours a day 10 years gives me 18,250 hours of time. Ok, lets say this is true, then what is everyone telling you? 70,000 resumes, What are people telling you? I mean how many jobs are there in your market and how many artists? If there are 75,000 graphic Artists in the USA, then you have 5,001 more resumes to go. At that point the only choice should be you.

These numbers are very hard to understand. Do you have an actual log book of the places you sent to? I would like to spend a month to look at them all.

Did you ever confirm with the 70K that they indeed got your papers? An if they would tell you why you did not get the job.  How many of these if any are knocks on a door?

I cannot answer most of Your questions, Deuem.  And I have seen MANY resumes; Mine both fits in and stands out. 

Virtually all the places on the web don't offer contact numbers and many say "No calls."  A fair few have the company listed as "confidential."  Some I have tried to contact, but after the first year or so, and getting no real data, I decided that was a waste of time and phone minutes.

I would say I get a very small number of responses in the form of calls.  Maybe several hundred calls, and a very small number of in person interviews (mostly the local jobs I applied to back in Ithaca and other places I lived).

No, I have not kept a long list of these.  I have a folder on My email where I place all the automatic "Thanks, We received Your resume" emails I get.  But I have cleaned it out now and again.

Here are just a few thoughts;
Pursue anything and everything that others
show an interest in.

You did well on the radio, I listened to you. 
You have a nice voice, nice expression, use this
to your advantage in every way. A resume
is a piece of paper in a large stack, its hard
to make an impression. But a voice is
another thing altogether.

Another idea would be to take your idea of
TAP, and start making graphics for it, then
make sure where ever your TAP promotions
are there are visuals.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

One other idea, is there potential for you
to turn TAP into a futuristic game, or
a book? If so, develop your characters
to play into a fictional scenariio, develop
a story line to go with them that can
be worked into a series, perhaps a book
or a video game?

Work on graphics that could go with
either....

Just a few ideas, sorry I dont have more
to offer - one more thing it seems you like
to do online research; have you tried
contacting an agency that does
information brokering, or SEO promotions?

yeah well you would need to do both of those things in order to 1) get your book sales going directly to you instead of amazon.  i have my ebooks in html format.  you don't need to have your book in kindle.  the book can be made into a website with pages, that the person just reads and pages thru. i have software that can add a simple password, if i recall.  so the person can't read it unless they know the password. i'll check on that password thing.
2) without the credit union account, i don't think pay pal would be able to pay you for your book sales.

On Monster alone, I can find 50-150 suitable jobs per day.  Applying is quick and easy for most.  There have been days I have applied to over 100 jobs.  So...

If I applied for jobs 360 days a year, and only 50 per day, for 10 years...  That's 180,000 jobs.

Just emailed you a version of zip.  7Zip.  It should be able to open that file. It is what I use and is virus clean for me.

I will just warn everyone. Do not accept any invites from people you don't know. If you get an invite make sure who it is and check with then first. Many people use different names there. On a cold call I reject and also block them.
