He can be irreverent, but take him with a grain of salt.

The only people in the world, it seems, who believe in conspiracy theory, are those of us that have studied it.    Pat Shannon

I notice George skirted by the truth in that last vid.  Indeed, the "country" (corporation) has been long ago bought and paid for and the officers of that corporation are SElected.  What corporation would allow Joe Shmoe to choose Their officers - including the CEO (president)?  Voting is indeed quite meaningless.

HOW could he have voted for Hillary or Trump?

Didn't he pass away in 2008?

Now that he is sincerely weird on every level; yes 2008 he passed.

The heading is deceiving, which is probably why he or she posted it like that.  George didn't mention Trump or Clinton, he mentioned politicians in general and why he doesn't vote. xxoo

Colorado has recreational marijuana because people voted.  Terminally ill people in Colorado have the right to die on their own terms, because people voted.

Or so You have been told.  [smile]  They do things like that to keep the illusion going.

BULLSH!T  :P

These states are going GREEN because locals are VOTING for it in spite of Washington and they are winning

You could even say the states are going good skunky.  The smell of the National Western Stock Show in January, now competes with the smell of the dispensaries along the I-70 viaduct.  Add in the Purine factory, and can be a very smelly drive.

The problem I have with comedians like either Carlin or Bill Hicks, is that while they are supposedly revered on the one hand, nobody really pays any practical attention to their message on the other.  They're people who are quoted when, like Gandhi or MLK, someone wants a feel-good sound bite in order to make themselves look righteous or enlightened, but that is as far as it ever goes.

If there's one thing I've realised about prophets in general, it's that they never truly change anything.  Their material gets written down, and everyone talks about how soul-stirringly beautiful it is; and then we go back to killing each other, wrecking the environment, and perpetuating a corporate culture where lying is as reflexive as breathing, and amoral, inhuman behaviour is referred to as "hardball," rather than what it really is.

There are kind people on this planet, yes; but the two things said compassionate people are never associated with in my experience, are authority and money.  Carlin's and Hicks' message about the people in high places might have been completely accurate; but they will not be changed by it.
