He is inadvertently promoting lazy thinking, if not also saying not to think as well in places.

Maybe the above is just "lazy posting"!  ;) Just kidding!!!

NewTheories, if the quoted comment is made relative to what I said, in the post you quoted - I certainly did not intend to say to "not think"! What I thought I said, (in different words) is to have an open mind, but to filter everything that is said, relative to what you KNOW, and relative to what you BELIEVE.

NewTheories,  you are certainly welcome to think everything I said is "WRONG", as you said in a prior reply, but that then is just you, putting your "filter" on what someone else has said. That is just what I was suggesting that everyone needs to do, to maintain sense and sensibility relative to this very chaotic day and time, and relative to the broad diversity of belief systems prevalent in discussion forums, such as this.

Animals are animals! Humans are humans! And God is God!!!!!!! Now go filter that!!!  ;D ;D

Hey Cap'n Dave, great start for a song, and it sounds like a good one for us boaters!
Those experiences come out in some cool ways for us, and lyrics are very artistic!
I wonder if Noah brought along a musician and his wife, as two of every kind, I was a drummer for a while, and we ARE animals, right?!?!?!:D
Pleasant dreams,
Littleenki

Yeah I wonder what the daily life was like on Noah's boat?

Wish you were here, I just don't do drums well. I started recording a little of that song today, so I won't forget it (sounds a little like a sting song). Will upload it when finished.

Thanks for the positive influences!

Just wanted to give a big thumbs up to all of that!

The only way to truly understand something is to look at it from all perspectives. At the end of the day, I just pick one and roll with it.

Thanks Captain, for the "thumbs up. And you kinda said what I did, but you were somehow able to say it in a lot fewer words than I did!!!  ;D ;D

Would it be beyond the reasonable to request specifics?  WHERE do You see Him inadvertently doing this?  What statements were made that lead You to believe these things, and how do You figure it all?

Yes, because i would rather you learn how to think for yourself, his post was just a example.

I think The Matrix Traveller has said the sole purpose of this programme is to make people think or question?.

Ask Yourself the Right Questions and you will get the Right Answers.

Awesome, Cap'n Dave, I cant wait to hear it!  Being a sailor calls for a guitar and some tunes, it makes the cruise go better every time!

I dont think my drumming style would be too appropriate, as I played mostly double kick, and four toms with a double kettle...can you say Slipknot-psychosocial?

Damn I wish I could play like that still!!!

When I played with a small garage band, the guitarists had to crank their amps to keep up with my playing. They were so pissed that every time I rolled the double kick, all the shit in the garage would rattle like crazy!LOL!
So, we ended up playing a lot of easier stuff, like ironically the police, one of my favorites, and also a lot of Journey as the ladies dug it!

Heres a song for the flood thread, too, a good one, Flood by Jars of Clay

I bet I could still play that line....LOL!

Whats your favorite style? If I were a guitarist Id have to pick a few faves, like Vai, Malmsteen, and of course Zappa!

If Noah had a band on the Ark, it wouldve been so cool to listen as we drifted across the flooded worlds oceans, and what is a cruise without a crooner? :D
Cheers!

I've heard that, but never tried it. Have to give it a shot the next time I'm out and the wind dies.  :)

During hurricane Ike, there was a point when I thought we might just lose the boat, right about then Welcome to the Machine came on.

It was perfect timing. Winds screaming so loudly they moved every inch of the boat... You could feel all that FORCE, hitting us like an unending blast of Earths own breath... Swells Raising the big ole heavy hull up in the air and dropping her like a rock... half tipped over... Praying to God and making promises was about all we could do! lol

I remember looking at my first mate (wife) and seeing how nervous she was while we were looking out the hatch and I told her - Honey just pretend it blows like this everyday and get used to it, like it's a normal thing. (Seemed to work for both of us! lol)

The Matrix Traveller

LOL...

I know that feeling well Captain.

It soon sobers one up...  :D

There are too many to list on favorites, I have heard so many awesome styles! If I had to pick one though, it would be David Gilmour because their music feels the most like an old friend and has always touched my soul.

I've been playing guitar and singing since I was about six years old and it was always the most powerful draw in my life. Started playing piano before that. I came up with a style like grunge back in the early 80's, but something always stopped me from getting where I needed to be. Life always seems to get in the way.

A friend of mine that I used to play guitar with in Grade school lives out in LA now and just released this one...

His name is Rich Jacques, the lead singer/guitarist in the video...Super cool guy.

(I played with a band like that slipknot vid as the lead singer... too much screaming for me... The parts where the vocals are clean though sound better to me. Nice drums though!)

Littleenki

Mr Jacques has a fine band there, Capn, he should go far with that song, it's very nice and has a poetry feel to it, along with a powerful message in three words, Give it All, the only way to Get it All, right? :D

And yes, I wish Corey from slipknot would confine his voice to one style, as the screaming and the smooth dont really mix that well for me, it's either death metal or folk music for me, but never a mixture! LOL!

Heres his new band, and although their a bit heavy, listen to the difference from slipknot, and its a big change for him.

Now thats better, Corey!(except for the little autotuned part I could do without)

Once again, interesting drum line....classic surf styling switchbeats with a rock bass line.

Cheers, and now its off to work, talk to ya later!

rdunk,

i've been pondering what you said and this is my take on it:

ancient texts actually defend each other.  they are not as opposite as we've been lead to believe.  for example, the sumerian-akkadian texts tell the same or similar stories to those told in the bible, as do some of the babylonian texts, assyrian texts, ugaritic texts (<---have you read the ugaritic texts?) and definitely, egyptian texts.

if jehovah was only one god, how do we end up with three?  and if those three are one, then how do we end up with three parts all claiming to be the same individual.  jesus was praying to himself?   we've just gotten stuck in a singular way of reading ancient texts, either as myth or as half truth or as full truth but, in only one way and one way only, even if there's oodles of texts that suggest otherwise in the same book. that's an incorrect approach, i do believe.

there's a reason for everything in the text and to ignore one part because it doesn't fit another, suggests making excuses for it and it doesn't need us to make excuses for it.  it needs us to learn it and find out why it says what it says.   cause generational layering can screw things up mightily.   let me give you an example:

how many animals got on the ark with noah?

take your time.

The Matrix Traveller

There are Different "Fathers" for example.

Found in the writings just some of the different ones.   :D

a.    The Father
b.    Our Father.
c.     My Father.
d.    The Father IN Me (Referred to, by "Jesus The Carpenter").
e.    My (Outer or Farther away) Father i.e. I GO to my Father. and "I Come From The Father" and in other cases The Father.

The same is found in God.

a.    God
b.    The Lord God.
c.    The WORD (In the beginning was the "WORD" and The "WORD" was GOD.)
d.    My God.
e     Your Father
f.     God The Father
g.    God The Son.
h.    God the Holy Spirit
i.     god/s

In Genesis it is written :"Let Us make MAN (NOT A' DAM) in Our Image". etc etc.

These 2 are...

1.    The WORD.
and
2.    The LIFE of God (The only begotten of "The WORD") i.e. The LIGHT of MAN
and NOT A' DAM the Damned One i.e the Flesh.

?  it says adam because it's a reference to atum, the egyptian god of creation.   the translators just had a hard time differentiating adam-god and adam-clone of god. not to mention, adam is a plural word.  it was not 'MAN' it was adam.   most of the torah is an egyptian book, written in hebrew.

A' DAM and MAN are entirely different "Entities".

Just Change the Fonts into the ZION Language (NOT Hebrew), Lay down
and Sup with "The MAN Child" or "The Son of MAN" NOT A' DAM (Rotate the Fonts)
and the Secret is Revealed.    :D

When in The ZION Language it is Plain to understand.

The "Geometric Algorithms"

a.    A' DAM
and
b.    MAN

are totally Different.

correct, sorta (as far as a'dam and man being different).

first there were the adam (plural) gods.  they were male and female.  don't ask me, i'm just telling you what the text says.
the adam race was copied (cloned ) in their images.  males and females were called adam in the text. it's not talking about humans yet, but rather, the original "copies" of adam (atum) the god of creation.   the adam race (copies) were as yet, not in their "Fallen" state.

then dna was added that gave the female adam the ability to procreate.  the premise was, if they had "animal like intercourse" they could be like the adam-gods and create copies of themselves.  but the adam-gods didn't procreate via intercourse but rather via cloning.  there was no pain in childbirth because new adam were created by cloning them.

this dna to give them the procreative ability was apparently mammalian.   the mammalian body is the "flesh".   one of the adam-gods apparently warned them that having such flesh would be a sure death sentence.  they went along with it anyway.  now the adam-gods had a pow-wow and said, we can't have our clones running all over the place, with eternally regenerating bodies, procreating like crazy.  so they  called for a nerf to the adam race (clones).  it even lays this out very precisely in the text of genesis.

when a generation of female adams capable of mammalian  procreation were introduced, this is the first time you see a splittling between the adam references of male and female adam.  now you have adams on one side, who are male, and eves on the other, who are female.  when they procreate the next generation of adams are now part mammal part adam, with the nerf in place, to keep us from procreating like mad and filling up the universe in a couple thousand years (exaggeration but not much lol)
