It's interesting that we have a psychiatrist or psychologist talking about something he didn't study and basically saying that all the other doctors that did studied that field are wrong.

These two Bakersfield California doctors have many years as Emergency Room doctors with a background in immunology and microbiology.  They give you the scientific facts and based on those facts the tell you what the science should guide everyone to do.  It goes against the narrative.  Youtube took it down and then Youtube reversed itself.

He is right about one thing.  Scientism is a major problem.  There are so many people on Reddit who will unquestioningly believe anything, as long as the person saying it, is either from academia, or claims to be an "expert."

I don't consider that real science.  It's exactly the same as people believing whatever the Pope said in the Middle Ages.  The tragic thing is, when you point this out, you're immediately rhetorically asked if you plan to audit "all of science," and then get laughed at and called a science denier.  To use the Catholic analogy again, this is the equivalent of saying that we have to believe the local priest's word about what the Bible says, because it's in Latin which means that he is the only one who can read it.

The other thing that bothers me about this, is that it's mostly just the same paranoid, schizotypal ranting that we've been listening to for years already.  It gets incredibly repetitive, after a while.

I don't think it is. First of all, Sweden didn't implement a lockdown. Also, different countries have different measures and react in different ways.

No, they tried to stop the population from using that specific park for the celebrations. As the article is from before the event we don't know if they succeeded or not.

A different source says that Sweden forbid gatherings of more than 50 people and the mayor was afraid of getting more people than that.
