We admins have to leave all the boards visible.  Yes, it does get tiring sometimes.  :o

Hi Sky,

How do I block anything re. Religious Groups ?

petrus4

Thank you, otter.  I probably won't filter any of the forums, but adding a couple of users to the individual ignore list, will increase my serenity. ;)

Wise words from the Sky Otter...we don't go to church because we don't want to hear it!

Ya know LE, I have heard countless testimonies of Christians, who, before they found and accepted Jesus as Savior, they had the very same feelings as you. Many of them didn't want to hear it, they didn't want to go to Church, and they just pursued their own thing. And they everyone expressed strong thanksgiving to God for their finding "the truth", and for their eternal life changing experience, in Jesus.

I know that information may not mean much to you now, but, someday it might, especially if some of your thinking/priorities begin to change.

LE, just  a final note on this. There has never been a Christian born as a Christian. We all are born separated from God, and all, including those who have become Christians, reach a point(s) in life where a choice is available - to either accept the Savior Jesus, or not. No one is forced to accept the Savior. Every man gets to make his own choice, by his/her own free will. And yes, Christians do believe that the choice results in either "eternal life" or "eternal hell" - that is just simply well known, as stated in the Bible.

Rdunk, accepting Jesus into your life is one thing, reading the book is another.

I dont have to read the book dear soul to accept Jesus.  His already in my life, I dont have to read a book.

I believe he knows what he is doing with all that is part of the one, part of him.
I know that I know nothing - thanks Capricorn.

I don't block anything.
If I don't like the subject,I don't read it.
Well I do,only to a certain point to which I must censor myself.

Good for you biggles!!! I congratulate you. Yes, every Christian is different! And God deals with each of us differently.

I would just say, relative to the "book", it is not just another novel to "read'. It is an expression of "His contract/Covenant with us, for the rest of our lives, and for all of eternity. There is so much detail in that regard - - aren't you even a little interested?? :)

For sure, reading the "book" (Bible) is not a "commandment", but in the "book" Jesus does spell out what are the only "two commandments" for us - - you probably know what these two are, but if you don't, and if you do want to know..................you will have to go to the "book" to find out.  :) (Something the Spirit just gave me to convey to you a little of the importance of "looking at the "book"!)  ;)
