i think while the conspiracy here seems to be about what did or did not happen..
that we are being played and the story is perpetuated by folks who will jump on anything

.i think it is a test to see who can be played and then who can be counted on to continue to  float the story
also
a test to see how gullible some are to beliveing the most outrageous and just where it goes

i do have a feeling that the test is to see how they can play the next news blip and one of those blips coming just might be the big alien reveal..but by that time no one will believe it

but hey.. that's just my opinion

lots of embeded stuff in the article and vids..go to the link for those

Sandy Hook Conspiracy Theory Video Debunked By Experts

The Huffington Post  |  By Cavan Sieczkowski Posted: 01/16/2013 8:20 pm EST  |  Updated: 01/16/2013 9:16 pm EST

Conspiracy theories surrounding the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting have reached a new level with a viral "truther" video that has been viewed by millions of people in just one week. However, experts in conspiracy theory have debunked the video as a mere marketing trade on questions, not answers.

On Jan. 7, the video titled "The Sandy Hook Shooting - Fully Exposed" was posted to the YouTube channel ThinkOutsideTheTV, where it garnered more than 8.6 million views in just nine days. The 30-minute video uses news clips to point out "inconsistencies" in the Sandy Hook coverage.

The video opens with a disclaimer: "This is a simple, logical video. No aliens, holigrams [sic], rituals or anything like that, just facts."

"The video begins with something that really everybody can accept -- 'We are just raising questions,'" Benjamin Radford, author of "Media Mythmakers" and deputy editor of the Skeptical Inquirer, told The Huffington Post. "The whole subject is framed like, 'Don't look at us, we're not saying this crazy stuff, we're just asking questions.'"

But that's all the video is -- just questions.

"All they offer are tantalizing 'could be's," Radford said.

"The classic conspiracy theorist sees the hidden hand in everything. Nothing is as it seems," he added. "There's something bigger that's going on. They dont know where it is, but they are willing to tantalize people and throw out any number of suggestions, which are oftentimes contradictory."

David Mikkelson, founder of myth-bunking site Snopes.com, agrees.

"In any kind of disaster or tragedy like this, if you go through things with a fine-toothed comb, you will find a number of contradictory statements," Mikkelson told HuffPost. "Of course, most of them are cleared up within a few days of the initial reporting, but it's not something you're going to see in these [conspiracy] videos."

Some questions posited by ThinkOutsideTheTV include:

•How Adam Lanza's AR-15 rifle got locked in his trunk (later proven to be an extra shotgun);

•If grieving Newtown citizens are really just "crisis actors" (targeted hero Gene Rosen is actually a retired psychologist);

•Why memorial websites were seemingly set up before the shooting on Dec. 14 ("Google search result entries are imprecise and do not always accurately reflect the date on which the reference material first appeared on the web," notes Mikkelson on Snopes).

In addition, truthers have claimed that the victims' parents didn't express the proper level of grief. However, by cherry-picking certain portions of certain news clips, evidence to such claims becomes "beneath worthless and is actually misleading," Robert Blaskiewicz, writer for the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry and co-editor of the blog Skeptical Humanities, said in an email to HuffPost. "Doing that means ignoring (or simply rejecting) vast quantities of evidence that doesn't support their conclusion."

Some truthers went as far as saying 6-year-old Emilie Parker, a victim of the shooting, later appears in a photo with the president.

"They'll see things that have double meanings," Radford said. "What the rest of us see [in that photo] is Emilie Parker's sister, but they're looking at the exact same photograph and they are interpreting it very differently."

"You can get a lot of mileage out of vague physical similarities," Mikkelson added.

Compiled together, this "evidence" not only addresses a theory, but also a much larger issue: Most conspiracy theorists have a very specific agenda, the experts said.

ThinkOutsideTheTV, for example, points to the notion that Sandy Hook could've been a scheme to disarm the American public and destroy the Second Amendment.

"What I think we are looking at in the video is an attempt to find evidence to fit a preexisting narrative, that the government is or is quickly becoming a tyranny and that the only thing stopping the government from terrorizing the nation is that the populace is armed," Blaskiewicz said.

Blaskiewicz added that such a diseased investigative process is almost always guaranteed to fail.

"The only possible answer at the end of that process of investigation is some sort of omnipotent puppet master who controls everything. In this case, it's the government, but it's often Jews, the New World Order, the other political party, the Illuminati, Masons, or even inter-dimensional mind-controlling reptilian space aliens who impersonate political leaders."

D.J. Grothe, president of the James Randi Educational Foundation, does note that truthers shouldn't be immediately dismissed as raving lunatics, however.

"Political conspiracy theorists are completely wrong [in their conclusions], but they're not crazy," he told HuffPost. "The leading conspiracy theorists ... are right on many of their initial factual claims. Depending on what the theory is, they might even be correct in all of their claims. Where they are wrong is connecting the dots that aren't there."

"We are hardwired to seek order in chaos, make meaning out of data noise, and it is paradoxically comforting to imagine that great tragedy is not just time and chance, but a function of some nefarious, pre-planned grand design," he added.

I'm guessing They're scrabbling to "debunk" these anomalies...  But I notice one specific issue NONE of these "debunkers" will touch.

WHY is a "dead" girl sitting on Obama's lap the day He visited Sandy Hook?  There She is, in the exact same dress as She was wearing in the "family portrait."  Her eyes, the same, Her nose the same, Her smile the same, Her hair the same - yeah.....

actually they did address that..try looking thur the print again..you may actually find it

Screw the experts.  The shooting had exactly the same pattern that we saw with the Batman shooting in Denver; in the sense that initial media reports mentioned multiple shooters, and then the official story was reduced to just one.

It's always the same; the media's initial reports contain the truth, before the authorities then formulate and disseminate an "official" (read: fecal matter) story, for the media to then feed to the public.

Ah, I did miss that.  I will say for sure that that was the same girl - unless "Emilie" had a twin? And (presuming the "sister" theory) why would They dress Her in Emilie's dress?  And for kids that just lost a sibling...MAN They look UNshell-shocked.  In fact, They look downright celebratory!

"Robbie" doesn't seem too distraught until He gets into character for the cameras.  Even then, He looks like He's reading from a script.  And lacks any real passion.

I have yet to see a single tear in all of this - "cherry-picked" or not.  A truly grief-stricken Person would tend greatly towards that - and yet...  Not ONE.

And I DON'T see any addressing of The Dark Knight...  What is the probability that:

1.  A film would have the word "Aurora" in it (not shown in that particular piece) AND
2.  It would also have "Sandy Hook" AND
3.  The map matches the area of a school called "Sandy Hook" AND
4.  A "shooting" takes place in places with BOTH names AND
5.  Both initially have "multiple shooters" that are pared down to one...

I'm sure more can be added to that list but that list ALONE has a probability of 1 to (some number with many, many zeroes before the decimal point) if it all occurred randomly.  IF it was planned and staged, the probabilities drop to about 1 to 1.
______________

Petrus, I agree.  The "experts" are in on it.  Snopes has been caught out offering the "official version" on some incident - wish I could remember what or I would link to it - and that was proven false, I do remember.

AnyOne believing this was NOT a setup are likely the Ones who think 9/11 was caused by an ex-CIA agent inciting 19 religion-crazed men to hijack airplanes and expertly fly them into buildings.

with the nun habit comments, are they trying to say that people wearing something like abayas were seen at the location?  i don't think muslims would stoop that low unless it was a revenge killing for drone attacks on civilian areas in afghanistan and pakistan.  and i can't imagine nuns doing it, as i can't think of a single motive a nun would have.  dang sure muslim women wouldn't have done it.  could've been occult related, i suppose, or drug war retaliation or ....well the possibilities are near endless.

emily..
.....i have a sister who is 6 yrs younger when we were growing up the 'good ' dresses were passed down and the younger one felt 'grown up' to get them
in our family photoes..you can't tell my sister and i apart unless the date is on the back or other people are in the shot
young siblings do look very much alike
...aunt being confused and saying she had older sisters..have you ever mis spoke and not realized it till it was pointed out..she was probably trying to say emily was the older sister and a good example
....i didn't hear anything about nun stuff and i listened twice..

...the prop guy was from a near by town and put that on the map..haven't you come across folks who have down this

.... of course i would not argue that the news gets sanitized...
BUT..yep big butt here
But haven't you become aware yet of how the first news guys on the scene sorta kinda blow it up a little so that they have the best story going
they do get things wrong...not all corrections later are of the news being sanitized..
guess what..some are really correcting

... many different stories..
have you ever taken witness statments at an accident
from person to person very little of it matches and very little of it is fact..
all of our observations are colored by our own lives and experiences and the explaining of what was seen seldom matches

... as far as no tears...let me tell you something
i had a sister at 29 who rolled a jeep and died..leaving a 10 yr old in icu with head injuries
did we smile and even laugh at the funeral..yeah...it's called trying to remember the good times
i also had a brother who committed suicide....and while in shock tears just don't form and
words get twisted  as you speak..it's called shock

the real tragedy here..in my un humble opinion is the trying to make something out of a real tragedy..just to satisfy a need to believe that somehow there are big bad folks at work and we are stupid to not see it

well i guess you've got my number on who i think are the stupids

it's real interesting that only questions are asked and fingers are pointed and a total regurgitation
on on the stories..over and over
but when it come to digging..really digging for facts and reasons and what really happened so that you can get some answers
no body does it..

i don't think you can use the title of researcher any longer

We still had the usual scenario of the media first talking about multiple shooters, complete with footage/sightings of unidentified people leaving the scene, which then was condensed down into an official story of only one shooter, otter.

You can say that the TDKR map thing is screwy if you want; that's fine.  I'm not, however, dismissing the above, because it's a standard feature in these shootings.  It comes up every time.  If these were just a case of some random nut going off, you wouldn't have those sorts of consistent elements.

i think you need to connect with the jesse ventura mind control thing..that covers it pretty clearly

I have been thinking about this tragedy...
It weighs heavy on my heart.

I think you have some very valid points sky.

I have read several stories today, and from them I
think any story that claims this did not happen,
and the story is a hoax is just off base.

I dont know who is responsible in large part, or small...
it could be a test to see how people react to a real tragedy,
and then how they react to have a huge backlash calling
it a hoax.

Many children are dead, and that is a fact. That is a tragedy!

Who did this, well it seems there are a lot of inconsistencies
to the story. Maybe time will tell, maybe it wont.

I dont think the shooting is a "hoax"....I think there is much
to the story we dont know, and I am holding off to say much
more until more documentation has been released.

I am going to post this article here, I dont think I have seen
this posted anywhere else.

It does answer a few questions, yet then it raises more questions
than it answers.

http://norwalk.dailyvoice.com/police-fire/shooting-newtowns-sandy-hook-elementary-school

Its late, so I am just going to make the point that in the latter
part of this article a woman witness said that 5 children ran
through her backyard at 9:30 am.

She lives about a mile away from the school as far as i can tell....
on google.

I pondered this for an hour, till I cant anymore.
It just does not add up.

If someone can show me how it does, I would really appreciate it.

Kind regards to everyone,
bts

I would like to read one clear, explicit, documented account regarding every GUN that was involved in this case.

He used an AR-15,  he only used hand guns and there were 2............. no, there were 4 handguns....... no, he used both rifle and handguns..............the rifle was left in the car, ......no, that was a shotgun...

There should NOT be any ambiguity about how these people died or what weapons were used. It should be clear from the evidence left behind.

guys i agree there are a tons of conflicting reports about this
my main thought is that you can not turn a horrible event
into a consparicy/hoax  for that reason

the continuing to hype it rather than try and find real answers is very annoying...to me
so as hard as i tried to back away i wasn't successful and posted

i do know some folk with mental health issues and i do know some folk with anger issues
and i do know they would be capable of something bad if the switch in their heads got flipped
as awful as this..? ? ?
and i also know a good number of law enforcement folk and i know that they would keep as much of the details under raps that they could
but stories leak and stuff gets changed all the time..youi know how it works

i will give the one news network some credit though cause as this played out on tv the guy kept saying..this is what we are being told now and it may not be correct or the whole story...
good for him

so i guess my main point is you can't call or belive that something is a conspiacy/hoax just because of conflicting reports about it
to change a line
who ya gonna (call) believe...?
