[The transmission] occurred on 26 Nov 77 at 5:12 p.m. when a strange unknown voice overrode, took over, or super-modulated the TV signals from five transmitters that were monitored by the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) in England.

IBA did not detect the intrusion. The 5+1/2-minute message overrode a scheduled newscast read by Ivor Mills on Southern ITV, England, and was heard by listeners as far away as Andover, London, Newbury, Oxford, Reading, Southhampton, and Winchester.

IBA engineers at Croydon, Surry did not hear the override, and at the main transmitter at Southhampton, Hants monitoring system, there was also no evidence of the takeover. A police spokesman told AP and UPI that the message was taken seriously:

"They were frightened and generally scared."

The voice spoke slowly and deliberately, with a strange inward authority, calm, serene, never scolding.

It said:






This is the voice of Gramaha, the Representative of the Asta (Ashtar in some texts) Galactic Command speaking to you.

For many years now you have seen us as lights in the skies. We speak to you now in peace and wisdom as we have done to your brothers and sisters all over this, your planet earth.

We come to warn you of the destiny of your race and your worlds so that you may communicate to your fellow beings the course you must take to avoid the disasters which threaten your worlds and the beings on our worlds around you.

This is in order that you may share in the great awakening, as the planet passes into the New Age of Aquarius. The new age can be a time of great peace and evolution for your race, but only if your rulers are made aware of the evil forces that can overshadow their judgments.

Be still now and listen,
for your chance may not come again.

For many years your scientists, governments and generals have not heeded our warnings; they have continued to experiment with the evil forces of what you call nuclear energy.

Atomic bombs can destroy the earth and the beings of your sister worlds, in a moment.

Whether or not a given idea is genuine awareness raising on the one hand, or doom porn on the other, depends on the degree to which the idea can be proven to be true.

As one example, there were numerous predictions made that the comet Elenin, or the planet Nibiru, were both going to collide with the Earth, and destroy it.  These predictions have failed on multiple occasions, and we are still here; hence, baseless doom porn.

Another example is the degree of hysteria which is promoted, concerning the idea of Peak Oil, by individuals such as Michael Ruppert.  Ruppert essentially believes that when oil, being a non-renewable resource, runs out, then humanity's ability to generate electricity at all will expire with it, and large numbers of the population will die, with the remainder being forced to essentially return to a Paleolithic standard of living.

Said attitude ignores the number of renewable forms of power generation which are currently not utilised, due to economic greed where oil is concerned, but which very well could be, if said economic greed could be overcome.  It also overlooks the fact that oil is not the only substance from which plastic can be made.  Bioplastics are possible, as a derivative of hemp and numerous other plants.

So, again, Mr. Ruppert's philosophy is not legitimate awareness raising; it is doom porn.

Fukushima is a third example.  Despite the amount of hysteria I have seen regarding this disaster, it remains hypothetical.  I have not heard of anyone's standard of living (at least outside Japan) as having been adversely affected by the incident.  For all practical intents and purposes, it appears to have been contained.

So that, again, is fearmongering, or doom porn.

About Fukushima.  When They exploded the Trinity device in 1945, it wasn't until the early 1950's to mid 50's that a sudden increase of both lung and skin cancers began to crop up.  They didn't want to blame Their weapons testing lest We protest, so They blamed the skin cancers on the sun (and sold LOTS of sun screen) and the lung cancers on tobacco.

Point is...  5 to 10 years before the brunt of this will really hit.

Our world is being buried by TRASH  Its floating in the oceans, its all over the country side and third world nations just toss there trasj into the very water they drink and swim in...




Now me... I am part of the solution....

ALL my trash is processed... the only thing that goes to the garbage bin is a small bag of dog poop.

Here is how...

All metal cans go to the scrap yard for cash, including all metal scrap of any kind I find... last time I took it in a single trunk load netted $185.00 CASH

Plastic, glass, paper and cardboard go out on recycle day and get collected

Burnables go into the firepit and ashes go into the compost

Yard waste mulched and into the compost or straight into the garden

Meat scraps to the dogs

Nothing left but the dog poop

If EVERYONE did this... there would be no need for land fills

Simple huh?

Nevada test site, where the Yucca Mountain complex is had hundreds of nukes in ground and above ground... The ground is saturated with Plutonium that has a half life of around 25,000 years

Chernobyl was a SINGLE reactor that had a core meltdown that is STILL GOING... they covered it with a concrete bunker that was made to last 25 years. That was 50 years ago and its rotting. Germany has a plan for a new one... but Chernobly will be HOT for about 100,000 years

Fukushima had THREE total melt downs and the fourth with all the fuel rods is a ticking time bomb. There is NO WAY that we have with current technology to cover or stop those meltdowns and they are on the edge of the ocean and on cracked ground

According to Wikipedia, a new shelter was supposed to have been built in 2005, but now it's supposed to be finished in 2015, at the limit of the expected life of the sarcophagus.

If the containment works, the experts say that the rate of radiation emission will get lower, so it will probably take longer.

The single biggest problem, where this issue is concerned, is the fact that a lot of people simply want to spew negativity and wallow in conflict and drama, purely for its' own sake.  When called on it, many will claim that they are raising or promoting awareness; but in reality, most of the time that is simply a superficially plausible excuse.

The fact is that nobody really benefits from information about things like Fukushima.  Nobody outside Japan has any ability to do anything direct about it, and so all information about it is likely to do, is promote, enhance, or cause fear.

So you can keep making excuses for it, and keep claiming that you are doing something worthwhile, as much as you like.  I've seen more than enough different groups of people online, to know how strong the psychological addiction and commitment can be, to drama and conflict, purely for said conflict's own sake. 

A lot of the time people want the stimulation, simply to avoid getting bored.  Sometimes, as I've read elsewhere, it can also be due to a subconscious death wish.  People (especially Americans, given the current state of that country) who are obsessed with Nibiru or other such potential disasters, are often sufficiently miserable about the state of their lives, that they would actually like to die; but they possibly view suicide as being immoral, or worry about how it would affect loved ones etc.  The idea of Nibiru or Fukushima etc is therefore seen as welcome, because it gives them an excuse and a way out.  If these disasters end up killing them, then they get what they want, without having to seem directly responsible for it.

I consider promoting information about Monsanto or genetically engineered food as being valuable, because the March Against Monsanto proved that that was an issue, where something could actually be done about it.

So I think that whenever you are going to post something, that is a good rule of thumb.  Ask yourself the question, "Is the issue that I am posting about, something which anybody has a concrete ability to change, or do I just want to wallow in panic and sensationalism, and drag other people down with me?"

If the answer to the second question is yes, then it is doom porn, and we would collectively be better off if you refrained from posting it.  One thing that the obsession with fear that has taken over in the last 20 years has taught me, is that the direct cause of 80% of our current problem, is actually the degree of fear and pessimism, in and of itself, that people feel about said situation.  Generally speaking, someone's negative emotions are always going to be out of proportion, to whatever situation has generated those emotions.

If you want to do something really useful, try generating awareness of positive events instead.  You're still promoting awareness, but you might just be promoting the awareness of something which could cause someone to want to continue to live, rather than the opposite. 

It's this fact; the fact that when people claim to be raising awareness, they still exclusively promote apocalyptic, depressing, or terrifying information, that really demonstrates what a lie the "I'm just raising awareness," excuse truly is.  This is because there are always going to be positive events occurring somewhere in the world as well as negative, but most of the time, we are not interested in sharing information about those.

So despite the fact that spreading positive information and doom porn are both forms of awareness raising, most people still want to go for the latter.  Engaging in uplifting behaviour, just isn't viewed as anywhere near as exciting or fun, for most people.  I'm not sure why that is; but I think for the most part, it is probably just a habit.

i think there are too many sheep.we are overwhelmed.ive thought of moving into a group and invading mexico.claiming some land and creating a more stable gov.
the ignorance is bliss seems to be the common mantra.dont fight the system.dont rock the boat.they dont even have the effort to go on line.the tv has them hypnotized.i saw fox deliberately attempt propaganda on the foodstamp thing.its discusting.or the travon thing that now they are asking why the public is devided on it.heck them along with the rest of msm made it a racial thing.
