One area of commonality which I do have with Michael Tsarion, in retrospect, is that he is fairly clearly a brother Plutonian.  Although I am a solar Aquarian natally, Pluto is my most heavily aspected planet, with a total of seven different aspects to it, from memory.

So the tendency to appear dark, and to be interested in apparently dark subject matter, goes with the territory.  I have consistently worn black clothing for most of my life, and am dark haired (although balding at this point) as is Tsarion himself.  Although it is not my intention, I at times intimidate people offline.

i'm still relistening to his videos.   i came across some info in his first one in the oracles and origins series, that i found extremely interesting, regarding various native american stories about global catastrophe.   it lead to him quoting passages from the bible, to correlate the information, which was a surprise since he seems to think the new testament of the bible is mostly misinformation. this seems to be a frequent view point from the new age community -- that the old testament is accurate, the new testament is not, which auto suggests the jews were right and the christians were wrong.  this is the moon god vs the sun god, thing, all over again.

what i found curious was that he quoted hebrew text concerning the outlawing of the fashioning of idol figurines, and called it christian.  i'm not so sure that is exactly accurate.   the old testament god is typically a lot different than the new testament jesus.  in fact, as i have elaborated on elsewhere on these forums, it seems to me that the old testament texts are mostly about the moon god, enlil, whereas the new testament, is mostly about the sun god, jesus, and by sun god, i don't mean it's mythology.  i mean it's egyptian in origin, as it is a title.

interesting corollary:  the pyramid wars as detailed by zecharia sitchin, suggest that enki was the god of the egyptians.  it doesn't seem entirely accurate, but it is extremely interesting, nonetheless.

I suspect that charcoal roasting would probably have been the preferred method of preparing Rosicrucians, Undo.  Care would have been necessary to select a very hot, densely burning log type, as well.  Expert chefs also would have been assigned from the Vatican, especially for the task. ;)

Well, i gave Petrus a lot of gold way back when, while reading those 'wall of text' posts, there was gold in them, but you had to read a lot of text to find it.

I think if we keep our replies shorter it moves the topic along nicely, and the added bonus of not having to load a new page after just 3 posts :P

(normally i don't care, but if your'e on an ancient cellphone like mine, it takes forever to load a page ::))

Petrus, if you get gold it means you deserve it ;)

Something funny just occured to me.

We are using Amy's TAP system here without even knowing it!

We use 'gold' points, which in themselves don't really mean a darn thing, they are what i call 'cookie points'  ;D
But they serve a very real & valid point. The poster, and everyone else, can see when gold points are added (at least it's gold per post as displayed on That Other Site, which was a cool system IMHO) but at least you can see when peeps agree with you.

You could go even further & remove gold from someone (a bit like the IRS) but then all kinds of carp would happen, as you could vote someone down just on the grounds of not liking them, despite what everyone else thinks... ::)

At least here, you can only GIVE & not TAKE. I find that to be a wonderful system.

OK so the worst that can happen is you give someone gold & then regret it 3 posts later when you argue with them :P
LMAO

This is really very much like Amy's system, and it does seem to work pretty well, don't you think?

Frankly, I don't like the "gold" system here.  For one, favoritism (whether consciously or not) allows some to garner 50, 100, 200 gold for a single post.  For another, I have no clue WHICH input was appreciated.  Without that, it's difficult to choose appreciatable content.

....but the system WORKS, Amy my dear :)

You can Give, but you can't Take from Others, that was the meaning i had, sorry if we are at cross-purposes here.

..But the system works, and it is based on Merit, right?

Isn't that what you have been petitioning for all this time??
-PWM_

Z gave Hobbit 50 gold for a single post, i remember...

Believe it or not, but i thought that post was well worth it!!

Hobbit left, and we go further, but let us NOT forget our roots, or those we leave behind, for whatever reason....

...and for others;

"Works?"  In what way?

QuoteYou can Give, but you can't Take from Others, that was the meaning i had, sorry if we are at cross-purposes here.

Again, works in what way?  What is it doing?  No, TAP is not "based on merit" per se.  It is a natural emergence of appreciation and other social currencies, NONE of which are being "kept track of."

If You are "rich" in TAP, it is because You have many People thinking highly of You.  But it's not like there is any "scorekeeping."  It just is.

QuoteIsn't that what you have been petitioning for all this time??
-PWM_

Yes and no.  The "scoring" might be in glowing reviews on One's website, or may come in the words anOther says, such as, "Thanks!" or "I so admire Your skills!  You are awesome!"  But there is no clear way to say, "I have more (X) than You do!  :P "

QuoteZ gave Hobbit 50 gold for a single post, i remember...

That may be - but *I* have no clue what post it was.  Unless I happen upon it AND z has announced His action in the thread.

And still, having the ability to arbitrarily hand out huge amounts of gold leaves the system open to favoring Some over Others...

Also, without "Joined on" dates easily seen, looking at gold does NOT clue One in.  SomeOne could have just joined and made a single post which happens to strike a mega-gold-giver just right and They get 200 gold for it, and meanwhile another might be here a year or more and have been actively contributing, gaining single golds, but not really striking the fancy of One who can hand out more than one gold, and sit with a gross figure like 144 gold.

Agreed.  This is actually the only such system I've seen, where I have been unable to tell which posts I was given gold for.  I wonder if it is possible for Zorgon to change that.
